@Eric-zz5ij10 күн бұрын
@@Inveist why would it look ugly?
@Nevir20210 күн бұрын
@@Inveist That's a pretty hilarious take. You have two sets of projectiles, one has to be atop the other. You think player projectile atop enemy projectile is not ugly but the inverse is somehow awful? 1) How do you figure? 2) Even if you think so, who cares? Why would you prioritize aesthetics to the point that you lose so much information, that you then have to partially or fully hide your own projectiles, thus removing your aesthetics, so you can get it back?
@Inveist10 күн бұрын
@@Nevir202 It's ugly hence why it's an OPTION to make it easier to see the enemies projectiles. Despite what you think looks mean a lot. Would you play the game if it was just a bunch of white squares running around? Your take is in my opinion AWFUL. To say "aesthetics doesn't matter" is probably the worst take known to man kind. and to your final part. The weapons shooting isn't the aesthetic part. The thing that ruins the aesthetic is bullet flying above it. Just like if you have a white square and then every so often a random colour gets flown over the white square. Now imagine it wasn't white but brown and yellow colours get flown over. That'd be ugly and ruin the aesthetic of the brown colour.

@pipecleanermaster10 күн бұрын
Hard as fuck is a severe understatement. You can get truly powerful, but at the same time die to the most psychologically damaging scenarios
@RealElevenTimes10 күн бұрын
It's not hard, it's just very random. I've literary had godlike wands, but died, because there was a a single pixel of geometry in front.
@Personnenenparle10 күн бұрын
@@RealElevenTimes thats what makes it hard! As you get powerful you get as dangerous to the enemy as you are for yourself! Even if you are immortal, your savefiles are not xD
@merakai415210 күн бұрын
@@RealElevenTimes I kind of disagree actually, while there is definitely a lot of rng to the game, through knowledge, good play, etc, you can turn almost anything into an absolute powerhouse of a game. There's so many different ways to progress and start breaking the game. Getting Noita'd is always a learning experience.
@Simon-tr9hv10 күн бұрын
noita is waaaaaaaay too hardcore for 99 percent of people, its like the DCS compare to other simulation games, steep learning curve, thousands of trial and error without able to feel accomplished too much, having to watch videos or wikis to understand the secrets that impossible to figure out yourself, its significantly more niche than this game

"When taking damage, you're teleported to a random location." Yeah, that's gotta be the worst possible thing I'd want to happen. It's very much like teleportitis in Noita, hands-down at the bottom of the barrel of perks.
@pewpewman269510 күн бұрын
The first good run I ever had relied on being practically invulnerable to everything and using teleportis for whatever I wasn't. I made it to the final boss, it got a lucky hit on me and I got teleported into lava insta killing me
@great_hedgehog819910 күн бұрын
To be fair, random lava ponds and vats of acid aren't exactly as common in this game, so while it's disorienting and can put you at quite a disadvantage, it's not nearly as horrible as it is is Noita

No game should monopolise its mechanics. Patenting only benefits the patent holder, and nemesis for one is a great proof of this. And I doubt noita devs patented any mechanics. So noita wand building wasn't stolen, yes. But progress depends either on innovation and/or iteration. This game, at least from the wand building standpoint, just seems like a more shallow noita.

I have played both noita and magicraft and I don't think noita is a direct "upgrade". The advantage of magicraft is that you can experience crazy noita-like wands without all of the grind of many failed attempts. Noita on the other hand has much more depth and a higher ceiling of wand complexity, but there are lots of people who get discouraged by the difficulty and how many hours you have to spend to get to the cooler parts. If you are one of those people and want a more casual game, magicraft is a pretty good choice
