I know you don't care for the hook, but look at it from this angle... Another thing that's brilliant about this song is that it's also written with concerts in mind. When you listen to the chorus, can you imagine a sold out show with everyone doing the "Ay-yo!" and "Dum, ditty dum, dum" parts of it as a crowd? Not only a lit song, but one that lends itself to a concert environment as well! Genius!

The hook is very catchy... I am 55 and find myself singing along with it, LOL Tom has more common sense than anyone I have ever seen or heard. He speaks facts and points out what should be obvious but a lot of people don't see it. Then he makes it fun to listen to with the corny things added... very smart way to do it!!

He might say the same thing 1000 times but he always approaches it in a different and entertaining way so it never gets old. It never sounds the same!! Reactors that don't like or vibe with his hooks are taking them WAY to serious, the hooks are not for mid-life and older fans they are for the younger fans.
