This is what Brock Purdy does. One big thing most are missing, is that the embarrassing/lucky pass (that's sarcasm) caught by Aiyuk off of the defender...the refs only picked up that PI flag because he caught the ball. That was going to be a PI penalty & they score anyhow...Brock most likely threw a ball that was going to hit Aiyuk in stride had he not been interfered with. I'm hearing just about everyone make fun of Brock for this play, missing the reality completely.

Refs don't pick up PI flags if the receiver catches it. They call the penalty and the offense refuses it (usually). In this case refs got together and decided the defensive back was playing the ball so they picked it up.

I have never seen a DPI not called because the offense player catches it. Look it up! if there is a PI and the off catches it the refs will still make the call of PI. They only pick it up if they refs determine there was never a PI in the first place! @@clubz1

The CLUTCH gene is the most critical QB trait. It doesn't matter how gifted a QB is if they don't have that critical intangible of getting better when the team needs them too. It's almost impossible to scout. We've heard all year about how "NOT ELITE" Purdy is but he has almost single handedly put his team in the SB, a team with the worst run defense I have seen in a while too. Other guys with more highlights will get more hype..the likes of Trevor Lawence, Lamar, Allen, Tua etc...but the 2 most clutch QBs in the NFL are in the SB. May the best man win

@BIankPage
@BIankPage 9 ай бұрын
Brock Purdy plays a lot like Tom Brady or Joe Montana. When the 49ers coach said next season if they get Brady to come back you're sitting behind him. They know if Brady just teaches him for a season or two, Purdy who is already killing it, will be learning from the very best and become even better than he already is. Idk why everyone doubts the kid all the time and underplays his success. Idk why everyone doesn't call him a game changer. He quite literally makes comebacks all season long. He takes shots and he makes great plays with the ball. He WINS. I'm not a 49ers fan, I'm a Chiefs fan and Patrick Mahomes is a different kind of beast, but Purdy is the kind of beast that plays a lot like Brady. He was the last pick of the draft, but who also was super duper late in the draft with zero relevance? Tom Brady. Who also winded the clock down and kept possession of it for far longer than the opponent? Tom Brady. Who also made amazing comebacks all the dang time? Tom Brady. Who also threw 10 yard out routes and then would bomb it deep to catch his opponent off? Tom Brady. Nobody calls Brady a game manager. If Purdy beats my Chiefs he must have proved himself enough right? Right?

Niner fan here. What a game. I never expected Detroit to come out swinging the way they did; they had our number in the first half. The game was a tale of two halves and it just broke SF's way. I just wanna say to Detroit fans: I have HUGE respect for your team and coach. Dan Campbell's a helluva coach who *trusts* his players, and as a player, that's what you want from your coach. That's why he went for it on those 4ths; analytics is whatever; at the end of the day, you want a coach that trusts his players. This was a heavyweight fight and I appreciate how both teams went for it and I agree that Campbell shouldn't regret anything. There have been SO MANY TIMES when Niner fans wish Shanahan would've done the same. Congratulations to Detroit Lions fans. You guys had an incredible season that exceeded everyone's expectations. The Lions are going to be a big challenge in the NFC for years to come and I really believe, if the culture of Campbell solidifies and grows, you'll be in the Super Bowl soon. And I hope, in the same way the country was rooting for you as the underdogs of the NFL all season, you'll root for our underdog at QB in the Super Bowl. Cheers, Detroit.

Hindsight is 20/20. Not saying there wasn't any room for criticism. But had they made those 4th downs and closed the game out on a touchdown, nobody would be complaining. Or had they missed the 4th down field goal attempt or made it and the points weren't enough at the end, everyone would be wondering "what if they went for it on 4th?"

The thing is for every team that makes it this far to fall short, it’s demoralizing af for every one including fans. At that point its all about how it goes the following season. A time to prove themselves.

The issue with Dan Campbell isn't aggressiveness it's being emotionally impulsive. I felt this would lead to a loss in the playoffs. You can be aggressive and kick field goals.

Big time players make big time plays in big time games. The lions players had the opportunity to be big time, but they couldn’t.

Pat is one of the analysts that actually gives Purdy credit when there's do many that's always constantly criticizing. Brock Bias and Hate is real. Skip says what if this What if that🙄 Shannon says Brock still has to win Superbowl Waiting for Nick Wright with his Clown take Have not heard but guessing James Jones isn't eating Crow If Lamar Jackson did what Purdy accomplished the narratives would be different Same if it was Josh Allen or Pat Maholmes Even if it was Justin Fields who made the same plays to win, he'd get credit Instead they say the Lions gave it away instead of Niners rising up and executing

Brock threw the ball well enough for the rest of the players to win the game for him. For the second week in a row. My money says he shits the bed for both halves in two weeks.

The entire league should be FEARING and planning against Brock Purdy... but instead they wrote him off and are too proud to change their ways. They only keep fueling the flames of greatness. THis kid BP is a stone cold killer and HE CAN PLAY....

I’m not a coach but I understand why Dan Campbell did what he did…. He knew dam well the Niners were gonna make a comeback and he need all the points he can get and didnt want to leave any questions unanswered. He’s a coach and he made his mind on that decision and I bet everyone wouldn’t be crying if he made it… Bang Bang Niner Gang.

49ers guys were saying that they were suprised at how many Lions fans showed up at Levi. No other opposing team ever had that many fans in the stadium, they said. Like 18% Lion fans, I heard. So, shout out to the Lion's fans! o

I like the lions coach and rooted for the team all season. But with all due respect, good coaching requires more than just being consistent. It requires flexibility and the ability to adjust to the situation.

You said you don’t know why purge took the -3yds on the last play. He needed to take 1-2 seconds off the clock because there was that much in excess time after the delay penalty. Safest was to retreat and then go down.

I don't think Dan Campbell stuck to his aggressive guns. I was ready for him to go for it on 4th down just before halftime. Would have been 28/7. Then just kick field goals from that point. All I can say is thank you Dan Campbell !!

@@MarkelScott100when he completed that pass to Kittle with a guy blitzing right in his face I knew we had something but I didn't know what that would be. Truly impressive. He made a pass against Detroit that was reminiscent of the one I just mentioned. It's not a fluke.

He is quick. His 10 yard split at the combine was 1.55s. Lamar Jackson was 1.54s. He doesn't have the top end speed of a Lamar but he is very very quick.
