Feminism. She is taught by that ideology that she (by virtue of the golden uterus which has proven its worth through fertility) never has to be accountable for anything. So, of course, be dismissive. @@Lilyanna298 Would you think it reasonable if Jason Bateman's character insist upon a DNA/paternity test after she delivers? I would insist upon that. In fact, I would go to court before the judge and demand it before the judge ordered any kind of child support. And I'm sure, that order would be granted by the judge. Moreover, if she wanted child support and I was proven to be father, I would want sole custody and I'd try for that. I'd mention where I found her (in bed with my boss) in family court and it would get real messy. I wouldn't want that kind of feral woman raising my child. She's not a mother. She's a monster.

That's typical of mid 2000s movies. 1. Fat men (not in this case but still) and attractive women. All women must be attractive. 2. Any woman who cheats is usually justified or its worked through. The only exception to the second I can think of is the Joseph Gordon Levitt cancer movie with Seth Rogen. 50/50 I think it's called but maybe not.

This movie really screwed him over. Even when she came to... I can't even say apologize in quotations cuz she doesn't even do that. She really just comes to tell him she's pregnant, then gaslight him about how "we weren't ever the same after we lost the baby." When it was actually HER. She directed her negative feelings towards his actions, associating them as distance and being "different" when it was really just her. Changed in whatever way, she could no longer feel the same for him, and registers his behaviour as different. That gives her justification to cheat. 11 years from now when she talks about this story, she'll downplay the severity of her actions. She'd frame it as if it was never going to be possible for then to function from then on, and how the marriage went down the drain after the miscarriage. They weren't having screaming matches every night or sleeping in separate beds. She probably gave him q hug and a kiss every day before work, and smiled as she went and stabbed him in the back. Lol 18 years of only seeing your kid on the weekends & paying crippling child support? Also, the wife’s new boyfriend/husband spending more time with your kid then you to the point they get called daddy by the child? It’s hell. Also, good luck dating when the women find out you have a child with your ex & that your finances are completely screwed. The woman completely wins in this scenario. Gets away with cheating due to no severe consequences & not only has her ex keep funding her lifestyle for the next 18 years but her new partner will also be paying for the rest of the expenses. She gets two men funding her. Also free babysitter for the weekends. Considering the affair partner is sterile that also means they won’t need to get a sperm donation & can have a child right away together.

I understand they (the filmmakers) had to paint Quinn in a positive light as to not dissuade bad reviews from the Female Audience. But Quinn is a bad person, not a “I made a horrible mistake” but a legitimate bad human being. She sleeps with her husbands boss which results in him losing both his job and his wife. Proceeds to show up to the procession around the death of Judds Father, Guilt trips him by bringing up a miscarriage, Expects a happier response from the man she cheated on, and than proceeds to pull of some teary eyed “please come talk to me” bullshit.

Yep and they should not do this I mean being a shit human being is not gender related I have seen so many movies where guy's cheat he is scum but women cheat it was just a mistake and the classic it was the guy's fault when she cheats the classic example for this Is the movie unfaithful god I hate that movie. And I am not saying men cheating is fine no it's not nobody should cheat on their partner.

wat?? I dont think the female audience would give a shit if she continued to be shown as a bad person. Have you SEEN female lead movies? Those characters are straight up assholes thats why women like the movies so much because the characters arent coddled and easily forgiven for their mistakes. As a woman myself I hate that they didnt make Quinn feel some kind of shame or remorse. During the entire movie I wanted to punch her and the not yet existing baby bcuz FUCK both of them

'This is happening Judd, you're going to be a father...' What an interesting dynamic in modern society. A woman can terminate a pregnancy on her own without the buy-in from the man AND can also bring a baby into this world without the buy-in from the man. It's almost like women have the ultimate power in this situation yet still come out as the victim.

I don't consider myself a hateful individual, but over the years, my ex has pushed me to, and perhaps beyond, my limits. Having NOT been the victim in the destruction of our marriage, her casual "c'mon, we can do this" attitude just prolongs the pain. After nearly 15 years, I know the pain is not going away...the best I can hope for is acquiring the skills to manage it. I don't want to hate her...but I'm ever so close!
