This is the only game where I've pulled off a 1.7km sniper shot, got super excited to have set a new distance record for myself, and then got immediately executed by a guy from behind who then started dragging my body towards a corn field while loudly breathing into his proximity chat that he was gonna give me the: "Kentucky cornfield experience". It is pure chaos and insanity, and the proximity chat combined with soundboards is possibly some of the most hilarious times you will ever experience in a FPS.

And yet I *WANT* to give the BB:R team MORE OF MY MONEY!!!! If they put out skin packs (or better yet, just directly buy the skins/customizations for specific guns/armor you want) I absolutely will buy them to both support good devs, good customization, and a fun game. The problem isn't exactly monetization, there have been ways of implementing it in the past (Titanfall 2 for example where you get a good amount of customization for the amount of money they cost), the problem is when it's blatantly greedy and an awful way of putting it out. PLEASE BATTLEBIT. I AM WILLING TO BUY A SKIN FOR MY CHARACTER FOR 1 USD IF YOU WANT

It HAS occurred to me that a PvP shooter that prioritized gameplay over photorealism when allocating budget would likely become an immediate hit. Yes, pretty visuals ARE important when marketing any game, but they do little to actually enhance a PvP experience. Art is always the most expensive part of game development, especially if you want a feature-rich game, because every feature needs its own model, animations, textures, etc. By intentionally restricting the artstyle, a dev team can greatly speed up the rate at which they implement ideas. If you want to see this concept pushed to its logical extreme, look at Dwarf Fortress. It's widely acknowledged to be the most complex video game ever conceived, because its ASCII font "graphics" make implementing new features a piece of cake.

My friend got me this game yesterday and we sat down and played for 6 hours straight before I realized what had happened. I'm not a huge fps fan, mainly due to the hype and then lack luster end product. But I can see myself playing this game for hours. The first time I jumped into a helicopter, as soon as we took off, someone started playing "Welcome to the jungle" by ACDC and it reminded me of that scene in Avengers when Tony Stark hijacks the Quin jets sound system to play it on. Probably the best moment of play so far

I think the default keybinding is ALT + Scroll Wheel, but I'd recommend going into your keybindings and change it to something easier for you. No one can ever feel the nostalgia trip and joy of hopping into a Black Hawk on Battlebit, getting loaded up, and the moment we lift off and the round starts, someone starts blasting Fortunate Son as the whole team races off to play a War Game. I love this game so much Best part is, also the most hilarious part is, this game isn't even finished... THIS IS EARLY FREAKING ACCESS!!! @jacobely6826
@jacobely6826 Жыл бұрын
to be fair there are a few major reasons for that, the most important one being that when you have a team of hundreds making games in just a few years and under the name of a huge publisher beholdent to lots of share holders, passion and soul gets thrown out real quick and its all about profit margins. devs are reigned in to within an inch of their life and they are given very little freedom. because whilst call of duty and battlefield suck as games, they're great money printers. the second is actually that having more people is counter intuitively actually not a good thing. it can definitely end up being a too many cooks in the kitchen situation. rather than 3 people shooting ideas off of eachother you have now dozens possibly hundreds of people all with their own ideas and opinions of how the game should be and then a huge corporation ontop of that telling you exactly what to make to maximise profits and minimise dev time. this is why IMHO the indie game scene is SO much better than triple A. because games rarely NEED a huge budget and crazy teams... games always need the undying passion of people with great ideas and an incredible urge to spread that passion with others. something that triple A dev teams seem to be great at killing.
