This is one of those situations where yes, colby may be a better fighter, but literally WHAT does Buckley have to fear? Nothing. No power, no subs and constant forward pressure, which is actually a benefit for Buckley. A guy crashing in to you with no ability to hurt you. Sounds like exactly what Buckley wants. Go back and watch Buckey fights, he has the most trouble with rangey people he can’t reach or find like Holland or Ruziboev, he’ll even stand across and shout at them for not engaging.

I cannot stand Colby but he does seem to beat the guys that aren't at the very elite level. He has problems with kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards but he can only handle the other guys. I'm not sure if Joaquin Buckley is elite but maybe Colby has dropped off too so it might not matter as much. If you'd given this fight to Colby two or three years ago I think he would have probably won. I hate even saying anything that sounds like I'm advocating for that asshole.
