And yet we still don't have an Oscar category for Best Stunt/Stuntperson. Seriously a shame stunt-workers aren't recognized for their work as much as they should be.
@Vikingwerk Жыл бұрын
Years back I got to see on tv the Taurus World Stunt Awards show, which was awesome, they did awesome stunts live during the awards show, and awarded a lot of different categories of stunts. Evidently they still do the awards, but I’ve never seen anything about it since. Evidently they do awards every year, but it’s not a big public deal like the oscars. It’s a shame the stunt actors don’t get more credit.

I work in the film production business. I have nothing but respect for everyone and of course people like Jessie - or of course, I wouldn’t be in the business!! But, I sooo much appreciate the work you are doing showing what it would really take to do the action that, although inspiring, can often be fantasy. It’s an interesting double edged sword. I feel like if Hollywood just made cooler movie's being a stunt man would actually be what people imagine it to be, there's not nearly enough john wick's or jackie chan style films with crazy stunts and long creative elaborate fight scenes anymore, it feels like i always gotta look back at what was made in the past, rather then whats being made today when i wanna find stuff like that these days, and when i do find something cool thats new it seems short lived or like a one of a kind type deal

It’s a weird universe Hollywood. They live in a completely different “reality “ than the rest of us. I know a few of the current top stunts performers, and would never want to change places with them. He hours, lack of “humanity” and expectations are insane. The money are good though. I mean can be insanely good. This one guy lives it, trains all day long, stretches etc never sits still. It’s commitment...
