Exactly the same here. 45-yr old gamer just trying to do missions and have some fun once per week. But, generally speaking, I run across teenagers who have already clear all the missions and are, now, just killing for fun. I know that I am not good enough to play solo or BR (which I just play to enjoy with time with some very good friends), I always try to play with randoms, enjoy the talk and do missions. But having players like this, just killing for fun, make me want to quit COD/DMZ.

@@ricardoschuh568I’ve quit doing missions beyond dailies. With randoms, I can’t get missions done, so I’d have to drop solo to do those. I am not terrible at this game, but I’m new to COD, having played mostly Halo. DMZ is my favorite mode due to the slower paced, tactical nature when compared to multiplayer. Battle royale never did it for me so I gravitated to DMZ and zombies. I like doing missions but the PVP is so frustrating. Due to the constant PVP, the bad servers (Xbox One has terrible lag after Season 4 Reloaded update), the toxic community of COD in general that gives it a bad reputation among casuals (I can’t play casually with my nephew due to how bad the language is), and the wall hackers, aim bots, and under barrel glitches, I probably will not buy Black Ops. This is likely my last COD game for a while. Basically, if I wanted to finish missions, I should have played earlier in DMZ’s lifecycle. That time has passed due to streamer PVP, more seasoned players having already finished missions, hunt squads of 4 targeting solos, and the lack of rescues from those who just kill. DMZ is insufferable now at times. I have 92% of the passive unlocks upgraded, but only 17% of the missions done primarily because of PVP. I know this mode is described as an Extraction Shooter, but people that aren’t extracting anything anymore ruin it for everyone else very often. How do we keep this mode popular and get new players when old heads just murder everyone? PVP is only one aspect of this mode. That is one of the main reasons why the mode died. Hopefully, Activision adds a similar mode in the future, then maybe we can keep the community from dying like DMZ.

I can understand both sides. On one hand, focusing on complicated missions and not pvp and losing all your mission items is very frustrating. Only the people that do missions understand this. On the other hand, pvp is part of the game but I think for the pure pvp hunters that hunt mission players is not an accomplishment because their guard is down and focused on missions instead of hunting other players so it’s not a fair fight imo but alot of times it’s hard yo know who is doing missions and ho is also hunting so idunno

I'm terrible at the game. Like seriously the worst. DMZ is the only game loaded on my Xbox and has been since it came out. I load solo because I don't want to burden a team a guy who is still working on the missions and is terrible at PvP. I used to get so annoyed everytime a team killed me knowing I was a solo, and I used to think the game would be so much better if teams weren't always in my way of getting missions done. But then DMZ Zombies came out and it was PvE only, and I was like, "where's the fun in that?!" That's when I realized I need the PvPers. This game is nothing without the tension of being hunted while I try to complete my missions. Now when I die I say, "GGs" and load the next round; happy to be able to play such a great game.

I understand the frustration from the last guy but honestly he's totoally wrong. If everyone is nice on DMZ and everyone picks people up, you'd get through all your missions fast and people would get bored of it very quickly. It's the combination of the risks of losing everything you worked hard for, and people having mercy and compassion that keeps the fun going for me. The heart crushing defeat, the fury I feel from being killed by premade 6 man, and the adrenline rush of surviving final exfil with 4 teams coming up to you is what keeps me coming back to DMZ, and honestly I don't get that level of excitement from any other game I play.

Killing whoever is part of the game. Just because someone is solo or simply asks nicely does not mean you have to pick them up. Because even in the mission sense of the game their is aspects of killing operators and extracting their tags which you cannot do by picking them up. Let alone some players whine like a child for their things back after picking them up which you clearly earned by strategically killing them as a solo. And this whole notion of letting someone know your friendly is fine, but don't expect everyone to be friendly. Especially for people who cant hear, understand, or speak english as well as you. Dillon genuinely picks up anyone and lets them do their own thing even humbly giving them their items back or more. He is cool with everyone including the first guy he killed he would have picked him up but he was being blatantly obnoxious. Which just doesn't make sense to plead and leave right away after the fact. Pretty silly.

Anyways keep killing em Dillon, I always love watching your videos!

i can completely understand getting fed up with pvp players just killing you as a solo over and over, but my point is you know the risk when you queue solo, you might have to fight 3-6 players on your own if you dont have a stealth vest to stay hidden. in an extraction shooter you are entitled to NONE of your loot. so if you die a lot while solo and you still enjoy playing solo that is perfectly ok. but trying to control how other people enjoy the game is where the entitlement goes too far. i personally try to help any person that is cool about it but i dont think anyone should HAVE to be friendly in dmz. thats my take
@dillonwood453 Жыл бұрын
@@dillonfps I totally get your point, plus it’s just what the game has turned into. No one should tell you how to play and enjoy the game. The guy who ranted to you didn’t sound like he was trying to be a dick and tell you how to play the game, he just wants people to understand that there’s a lot of players that enjoy the PVE and looting aspect of dmz. I'll be honest i used to be one of the people super mad about PVP in DMZ. And you know what i think it was honestly, i just wasnt good. Solution? I got good! Like seriously it only bothers you if you cant fight back. I realized DMZ wont always be friendly, so i adapted and got good enough to fight and enjoy it! Why i love DMZ is that it doesn't always have to be cutthroat, sometimes you have awesome or hilarious encounters with strangers, sometimes its a toxic fight to the death, but every run is different and playing warzone is not the same and not near as fun. Theres no other mode that asks you to progress through missions and upgrades while tackling other players at random, it feels way more exciting than any other mode! Keep up the great work Dillon, your PVPing the toxic people, particularly against 6 man squads is helping the game! Not making it worse. However, i look at content like this and want to learn to not panic in PVP scenarios and generally get a better game sense. I dont think that streamers are hyping up the pvp, as most of the hc's go to other modes. I find the last guys argument a little flawed in that he thinks your some solo killing machine. In that, like not 5 seconds before you killed him, someone yelled friendly, and you got back in your car let them go without a seconds notice. You’re right Dillon this game mode is not just meant for people doing missions it’s meant for PVP as well and you run the risk even if you come in so low of getting killed by an enemy player that’s just what it is And that guy needs to just accept it are used to be the same way as that guy and think damn I get killed every time I come in and I can’t even get a mission done but you get better that’s the whole point

The man has a valid point! He sounds a lot older than me and like him I want to play the game solo/twos and compete missions. Now season 6 I hopefully complete all missions like you

Man i will say this on every upload of bro. The most honorable player. His ego dont get in the way of showing love n respect. Besides his genius gameplay those teo factors make me watch ALL of his content. I was very ignorant to think Loochy and On1c to name a few is one of the best. But Dillion...league of his own. Movement and in game awareness of the F charts

I played with you the other day, and I'm glad you graciously picked me [PoutyClover48] up. It was great to pick your brain about season 6 and how things got changed. Big fan of your content and your knife skills are second to none! Keep up the good work. I hope I run into you again at some point.

Not playing online for about 8 years when I found DMZ I thought it was more like spec ops than just PVP. For the first few seasons I actually took it pretty personally when I was cut down repeatedly. I’ve learned to not let it get me down and to cherish the positive DMZ moments.

He's right though. I hate streamers in dmz but I can't stop watching these videos. LMFAO. So if you ever get on dmz can you make sure it's before I get off work.

Dillion is a good dude. Started watching this channel after meeting him in Al Mazrah.
