Recently found a 1960 Florin on the beach. A huge surprise considering where it was found.

I'll be uploading more long-form videos over the coming months. Shorts help me grow faster, but I enjoy creating the longer videos more.

@@JustJayDetecting I need to do more shorts lol trouble is I put my phone other way when videoing
@JustJayDetecting Жыл бұрын
@The Treasure Hunting Boomer it's definately worth a try. I try to upload atleast one a day, but I want to get to the point where I upload about 6 a day. Before shorts I was lucky to get 1 subscriber per day. Now I average about 50 sunscribers a day. It's a game changer.

Some good finds, keep up the good content. I’m in NSW and started getting into detecting a little while ago, so my starter is a minelab go-find 66. Do have any techniques on what I could do to get better because yeah. Thx again for the great content and I will love to see the next vids.

Beaches are great spots to get started with detecting, but it can also be frustrating. Your best bet is to stick with dry sand to begin with because wet sand is highly mineralised due to the salt water and difficult to detect for a new starter. Use a grid pattern when detecting the beach to maximise your coverage, the more area you cover the better your chances are of finding something good. And put in hours of detecting. This video is about 10 hours of detecting condensed into 10 minutes, so put in the hard yards and you'll be rewarded :) thanks for watching and good luck!!

After a 14 month hiatus getting back into metal detecting again next few days, getting a new second hand machine from Gumtree. Previously had the Minelab x terra 705 I had lots of good finds with the x terra 705, an entry level machine bt has the quality you need. I'm now considering a Garret or another Minelab depending how much they asking on Gumtree lol, bt definitely a Minelab or a Garret fa sure

Oh that's awesome! I had a year long break from detecting during 2020, but back into it full swing now. Best wishes on your future hunts, hope you find some cool stuff 🙂

Alsum vid, haven't detected a beach yet just done parks in Derby WA, but can't wait to try a beach.
@JustJayDetecting2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Are there many beaches near Derby? I had a look on google maps and it doesn't look like you're too far from the ocean.

@@JustJayDetecting yeah beach here, but not for swimming, to many Crocs.

@@sonnydates6819 haha wow, can't say I've ever had that problem! I suppose it would make detecting the beach a bit dangerous

HI MATE and all other detectorists finds are hard to come by these days gone are the days when you spent a five or ten or 20 dollar note at the beach shop with your change gangling around in your pockets just see how fast you loose your coins in the sand .eftpos and keycards have killed coin hunting on the beach regards from rob newcastle au.

Very true! This video was filmed many years ago, and honestly I only ever detect the beach now after a storm and significant erosion, where the chances of finding previously deeper coins are higher.

Watching these gives me some evil ideas about throwing a couple hundred 10c coins all over the beach for the detectorists 😄

Is it fair to say that 61 = a twenty cent piece, in general? Or is it just as likely to be a pull tab?
@JustJayDetecting3 жыл бұрын
98% of the time it's a pull tab sadly. But you can tell the difference between the two sometimes, the pull tab can give a scratchy tone, whereas a 20c will usually have a more consistent or stronger tone. High 70 tones usually a 1 or 2 dollar on a beach, 80-83 always a bottle top

61 is also silver on garret regards rob.from newcastle if in doubt dig it out.
