everything does, game is too ez. meteoron drops drakes in a single cast, but at least it looks cool. i wish i could stop levelling, it feels like im being punished for playing bc the game keeps getting easier than it already was and you get hired less (and pawns in the rift dry up too). apparently lvls go to 999 lmao, so eventually you have to start a new game, which means kissing your pawn goodbye. we need a GOOD hard mode, NG+ scaling, some kind of level scaling, prestige system. those can all be done in free updates. then with the DLC give us a better repeatable endgame, on top of BBI 2.0, a new snow region, and update the existent map with new enemies, dungeons etc. im holding this multitrillion yen studio to a standard idc.

​@@billjones642in the original DD ppl would do main pawn only / solo playthroughs, I'd recommend trying that for a while if you want increased difficulty. Also I personally think it's a good thing that devs don't attempt to keep you playing for hundreds of hours. Good for society and mental health if people aren't addicted to individual games

​@@billjones642The first Dragon's Dogma is the same. Once you grasp the mechanics of the game, knowing enemy weaknesses, elemental advantage and tricks like applying debuffs, the game is too easy. Until the DLC came out, even then it's easy once you know how to deal with rampant enemies. Try running the game solo without pawns.

@@ZedRotti for me, the whole draw of the game is playing with a party of pawns, and the social aspect of sharing pawns. going solo just doesn't feel right. it's unbelievable that they had 12 years to reflect, 5 years of development, and it came out missing basic QOL features from DA but retaining all of the flaws. from what i've read, DD2 had a fraction of the developers as capcom's other titles despite being bigger in scope. it's just... why? it could've built off of DA and then got a DLC that made it even better. instead we're waiting on a DLC to make it on-par.

@@billjones642 That's because this game is incomplete. Even the first installment of the game has a lot of unused assets and maps of what could've been. Capcom underestimated this project even from the start. So they just built upon patches and patches until they cannot change the mechanics of the game. Making this game is like fanservice to us consumers but they don't really like it themselves. Now to your point, yes, this game is boring and even feel lonely without pawns while you play. Specially more so on the first game, the world is large to traverse and it also radiates bleakness in some way. But if it's just difficulty bump you seek then there's no more solution to that as to nerf your characters even more. If you're really bored then do a fist only run, no joke, Nihil did this on the first game. You can search it on youtube.

I think all pawns in DD2 are pretty good. I've tried Archer and it was really good, then i switched her to Thief and she was awesome! Now i hired a Warrior pawn for a tank and he's also crazy good! He makes all mobs fly lol. Not to mention how sorc pawns like to spam meteoron on a pack of wolves lol .

For real. I legit get messages saying how useful my fighter pawn is sometimes from people who've hired her. And she really is. 150 Seeker token bikini armor is also totally OP. It's only 50 less total defense than the Dwarven Enhanced/Wyrmfire maxed out post-game fighter torso/leggings together, and it weighs a third so it's arguably more practical. Based Capcom. Bikini armor truly is the best. It's also nice that your pawn will sometimes say stuff like ''I made myself indispensable to the Arisen'' when she comes back. So proud of them when they do that, LOL! Capcom did a great job at overhauling and improving the pawn system.

I disagree, my pawn could not shoot tosaurian who was hanging on the wall near me pawn. She shot about 20 arrows at wall not the saurian. So I made her sorcerer with 2 meisters spell and now she can oneshot almost any creature in game.

I remember the days when it was only the Arisen can kill dragons and drakes. The Arisen must always land the killing blow to the heart. I love how the drakes cast Bolide this time around tho. They are more telegraphed, thus more fair to fight, unlike those wretched Wyrms from the DD1 what will Bolide, Gicel, and Exequy you when they want.

Wyrms and drakes are different. Drakes=fighters, wyverns=striders, wyrms=mage arisen that failed in their quests to kill the dragon. Drakes shouldn't cast bolide, they should be trying to crush you with strength

@dream8870 he's something new. The way to cheese him is just to get any sorc pawn with bolide or maelstrom and it kills him real easy. Just pick up the pawn and position it better sometimes and go half afk.

Archer is one of the weaker vocations when we use it since we can do errors or miss. But i'd argue PAWN Archer is one of the best since they tend to always focus weakspots [and obviously can just shoot at it instead of having to climb] and pretty much never miss.

That's why in the OG game you remove daggers from your Ranger pawn. Though, Archer doesn't have daggers in the sequel so it isn't a problem.

Several days ago my pawn came in with the save using that same move as I was getting knocked around fighting a Drake with no Hud on it made the fight slightly more challenging I love it Regardless you’re level don’t underestimate a Minotaur if you’re not acostom to playing with no Hud 😂

Take this with some salt but someone did some testing and found that archer pawns with only Manifold Shot and w/e the exploding shot is called do the most damage since they aren't running around and trying to sus out the best spot to poorly use Deadly Shot or Heavenly Shot. Also, exploding shot does loads of damage and knockdown anyway. Only drawback is you need to supply them arrows which is easy enough since they're easy to craft.

I’m currently using Kindhearted. Since my second playthrough I usually play only with my main pawn and she’s really helpful. Never try another inclination tho but I heard calm is the best for archer which is make sense because you want archer to be out of combat but you also gotta have someone to help you up. 😂

For skills I’m only use 2 skill including Tempest shot and heavenly shot. I don’t know but when I give her 4 skills sometimes she keeps changing skill and won’t shoot. Gotta wait till they fix that. Also planning to switch tempest shot to spiral arrow to see if it’s work.

Just a standard shot with no skill already does enough damage that could one-shot many low tier mobs. She keeps shooting too if no enemies are targeting her.

Raise affinity. You can do that by high fiving after a fight, taking them to the barber and the hot springs.

In my second play through it took me around 30-40 hours before I got high pawn affinity. I did a lot of talking, High Five and edit her make up/hairstyles a couple times.

I found that the more skills you give to your archer pawn the more indecisive they’ll be XD. So I only gave her 2 skills which are tempest shot and heavenly shot and she became soooo much better and aimbot everything. 😂

I tried thief as well and could literally melt drake like butter XD. Then I realized the game was too easy for me so I went back to fighter and use sh*tty weapon, armor and the game feels much more challenging lol.

@@seatbeltpillows8844 I think it can keep up with other vocation but it’s way harder to use IMO because your sword is very small make it even harder to hit weak spot. Gotta take a lot of time to master it I think.

Their survival is insane. Can have hindsight and impeccable guard as I frames plus Dodge. Can also get some augments from Archer and thief and just jump on winged enemies.
