It's actually seaweed salt, not sea salt. It's made by burning seaweed apparently. And about the Hokkaido saury/mackerel pike, it says it's cooked slowly over low heat to draw out the umami flavour.

Idunno if I'd say that works as a hard and fast rule (though ANY absolutes fall apart under scrutiny) but I get your point. You can throw a thousand excess flourishes to something but if your base is crap then it won't work. While if you go with something simple and perfect its execution you get something wonderful.

@@aquamarinerose5405Exactly. Getting the fundamentals right lays a foundation to build on, but even just the fundamental stuff can make something special done just right. Sometimes a good meal doesn’t need much more than good ingredients and good preparation.

It was common in the mid 2000s for higher level players convince noobs to follow them into the Wilderness. They usually said they can show you where to level up or gain gold or something. Obviously, such a cool thing would require a degree of risk so when they told you to ignore the warning when entering the Wilderness it didn't seem _too_ sketchy. During the trip they'd advise you on how to outmaneuver the non-player enemies, which made them seem more trustworthy. Then, once they got you in far enough that they could attack you, they'd kill you before you even knew what was going on and make you feel stupid while you died. The new players would lose everything they had from tutorial island, and being unfamiliar with the world, would have no idea how to get back to it even if they wanted to. The experienced players gained little to nothing from doing this. It was just fun for them to be malicious. It taught a lot of kids how utterly cruel the world is, to never trust anyone who you think might be kind or generous. If someone appears that way, they're actively trying to harm you and you need to get away quick.
