I just got mine and I am happy. I have not quite quit social media, but rather I use it when I am finished with my day, and ready to sit at the computer for maybe under an hour. I am even reading more now, and being more productive. I still keep the Pixel 6 around for when I travel just for the camera. I put a camera grip on it, and bust it out like a large camera only for pictures.

I just ordered one for myself. There are important things I need to do on my smartphone, but a lot of the time I just spend hours on unnecessary social media activity. I could probably save one month worth of time in a year by quitting scrolling. I like the idea of an android flip phone. This way I can still rely on it when I need to use data and google something, look up the directions, reply to an important message quickly or even listen to music through Spotify while it is inconvenient enough that I don't want to use social media on the phone. Plus, a lot of things I do on my smartphone can be easily done on my computer

My son just bought me the Cat. I'm a bit scared of it because I've had my G3 Nokia flip phone for 18 years and am a little leary of new things. I haven't got it up and running yet and am still using my old comfy taped together, broken, "flip phone". I'm kind of paranoid of new tech and will put black electrician tape over the "view holes". "They" won't see me. Yes I know, stupid "old" person, but I'm just not trusting after 70 years of living. Yes , Bluetooth works fine , cellular connection also works good , but I would say it’s totally to do with your carrier, I have heard complaints about bad network, but I haven’t faced any issues yet

Looks like the S22 Flip might be the best dumbphone for being able to access those extra apps like for banking, which is the main drawback of KaiOS phones like yhe Nokia 6300 4G .. and this Cat is cheaper!! It’s impossible to your social media apps on this , Facebook crashes because the app is not optimised for android go, and Insta takes forever to load , KZbin works perfectly since it’s a google app, that’s the best part lol. Android go should support you as long as you do minimal things on it , if you try to load on too many apps , it gets slow, I think it should be fine for another 2 years. I have never updated my phone since I got it , because I have seen peoples CAT phones getting stuck during an update and crashing

Recently come to know about the rugged phones , I was wondering why I I didn't see those. Before that I know the Nokia (keypad) and Xperia go were so reliable once. In India there is no rugged phones before (I think) , or may be there . Now I saw the advertisement of Oppo k12 as per there ads it is a rugged phone. Other phones I have seen were Caterpiller, samsungs xcover smartphones comes with military grades. Any I have love these phones due to there capabilities and reliability. I think the problem of these phones were lacking of luxury (unwanted) features (personal opinion) like blinking lights,Glass backed( these glassback have better signals?), pro level camera, customization... It is my personal opinion. Any way thanks for reveiw mahn.

I got it from the US through a buddy, there’s no official site selling it here in india since it’s never launched outside the US, but I have seen some Instagram stores importing and reselling these, but be careful as there are tons of scammers out there and fake pages , always verify if it’s an actual store !

I didn't get my first smartphone until I was around 22 or 23. Before that, I had the nokia brick phone. I was using it like a landline since that's what I grew up with. I love this phone but CAT should have gone for a 2.8 inch screen instead of the 2.4 unit. Not that it would have enhanced the touch navigation or handling (as the purpose is just to limit those activities) but to allow easier readability of the text, especially when your eyes are not that great anymore. Don't know if the screen/text zoom functionality of Android has been optimized for such a small screen.

Dude I love T9 on an actual dial pad and I'm crazy fast & productive with it. Not the same on touchscreen dial pad, need the buttons. Practice with it and you'll start to appreciate how fast you can type up a paragraph. ESp if the phone has Gboard and voice to text. Sweeeeetness

Battery is average, just like any other smartphone like an iPhone

These were never launched in india, they are only available in the US as T mobile exclusives, some small mobile shops around might be able to source them for you, just make sure it’s an unlocked version as they were never intended to work outside the US. If you would search Cat s22 on Insta, you would come across phone stores selling them, but Be careful when buying online from unknown Instagram pages as they are filled with scammers. Always verify in person and purchase

Definitely a defective software or also can be a internal hardware problem, better return it from where you bought it and ask for a replacement
