@@oeuftheoeuf deepwoken's permadeath has little impact on the game. dying has very little consequence and wiping is very uncommon once you learn the monsters. the only place where death matters is in the depths and if you die once to something outside of your control (multiple gankers, lag, multiple monster spawns, etc.) you are unable to have a safety net unlike rogue's system where you will always have multiple lives as back up no matter where you are. rogue's permadeath makes dying a lot scarier which helps build immersion.

When I first tried playing Rouge lineage. I spawned in, walked out of spawn, then some guy jumps out of a bush and downs me, told me to drop all my cash and he would let me live. I told him I literally just got the game and that I have literally nothing. he says "oh" and kills me anyways. I know rouge might have something to it that I would enjoy but with that as my introduction I just cant be bothered after that

The problem with rogue is that the combat is entirely dependent on your luck and who you’re fighting. The game relies too much on classes hard countering eachother, which makes no senses for a long-ish term progression game like rogue. Not to mention you need to be LUCKY if you wanna win a fight: if you’re in a bad server 5 other dudes or a 3rd party rando will join and try to gank you, if they’re exploiting then GL HF because you’re not getting a restore until a month later, if you can’t find people do to tomeless then you just lose any fight (unless you’re abyss walker). Rogue is a horrible game I really don’t get how people can still play it in 2023, is it just cope?

i dont agree 100% with your statement on combat, i think that it's very possible to have a high winrate in ganks even if you're outnumbered/solo ganking, it jsut takes practice but i think that the problem with rogue is that there's way too many ways to die that aren't your fault, i also want to say that i dont actually believe that any class HARD counters any class, i think it depends on who's playing the class since i know some people (including myself) that are able to adapt and play against ANY class while playing ON ANY class. for example a druid vs. a dragon sage, the dsage is supposed to be winning that every time but the druid could win depending on the player behind it.

Yeah I quit like this too back in 2021 lol. I was 1v3ing on my d sage and the mfs gates to tundra 2 and m1ed me in the pit.
