Welcome back, Po'Jo! Nice to see you back. Hotel Moskva is one of the oldest hotels. The food is splendid - but it's a bit step away from any kind of traditional food. Asparagus is not a regular part of the cuisine. Still, I am happy you are enjoyed the breakfast, and the food in general. What I see you doing in most of your videos is sticking to the downtown. That is cool, but most of the places are intended for travelers or more wealthier locals. Ask around, there are fantastic restaurants, or local food places in general in different parts of the city. If you want to stick to restaurants, you may go to Djerdan for the incredible portions, Stara Tresnja, for really traditional food, or even Lovac, for traditional venison. Make sure to get a restaurant in cinder baked food under "sac". There is traditional cuisine for you. As you probably noticed, most people here don't eat in restaurants regularly, so you can go after fantastic express restaurants all over the city. I can recommend Make My Day - way more affordable. Anyway, none of this is sponsored - just some places I like to take friends when they visit. I hope you have a great stay! If you want more good food places, feel free to ask.

Welcome back to Serbia :) Yes, the production of homemade cheese represents one of the oldest traditions in our country. In the past, before the villages and animal husbandry were almost totally destroyed, homemade cheese was made from unpasteurized cow's, goat's or sheep's milk in every village house. I also grew up in a house where my grandmother and my mother made our homemade cow's and goat's cheese, although I did not grow up in a village but in a small town. There are not many countries in Europe that produce cheese from unpasteurized milk thanks to the strict bans of the European Union. Enjoy it while you're here. The same applies to homemade cream (kajmak).

Country side eggs: The point is that those come from free range chickens and the taste is quite different from farm eggs. If you get used to farm eggs once you try real eggs you are overwhelmed by the taste, it's like you took 5 regular eggs and concentrated all the flavour into one.
@notsuicidal29 күн бұрын
the egg thing - YES the difference is so clear. when i buy eggs from the supermarket they're hard to peel and they taste... well, they just don't taste as good as ones that my relatives - who live in the countryside - give me sometimes. it makes me wanna get my own chicken coop just so i can have those eggs often hahha

As Serbian I give you honest opinion, majority of Serbian cities are ugly, except Vojvodina towns. Communist architecture, unplanned and unfinished houses, bad infrastructure, garbage... Nature is dissent lots of hills and mountains but nothing special, problem is bad infrastructure. We have a lot of historic cities from different periods, prehistory, Roman empire, medieval, Ottoman empire... . Economy is bad, big majority of people working for 600 euros. Serbia is very safe country, crime is mostly "organized" so their is no dangers areaa. About mentality, people and are friendly and hospitality but uneducated and primitive. They can be very aggressive.. About Night there is a myth about quality "night life" in Serbia, it's very boring, in caffe shops and restaurants everybody watch there owns business. There's no individual people everybody have their group and stick together like a clan all evening.
