Some of the larger marks we get in NW FL creeks and rivers are small gators and large turtles 🤣. We also get those barely-under-slot trout. It's like they know what the legal sizes are and drink and smoke to stunt their growth 😜

Hey Mark (my name name is Mark also..lol) looking at your fish finder I see the red markings going across the screen, is that the fish or is that the thermocline? I would see that in the fall and really just recently but it wasnt as dark and more peppered and I assumed it was the thermocline. I fish the Chesapeake/Potomac Tribs in my MK 106 in Southern MD and usually targeting Stripers and Specks but there are alot of other smaller fish like small croaker (they use to be Big) and spot and most of the time I just see blobs of bait. What depth are you in and what water temp?

Winter is my best season for big trout. Ever fish barbless? Went barbless last year and will never go back. No noticeable reduction in hookups and it’s so easy to unbutton a fish........hook most times just fall out when the fish is in the net. Easy on the fish, easy on me. Try it.
