Thank you for your words on Americans in foreign countries!!! My wife and I do our hardest to be modest and humble when visiting any country (and truly in our daily lives), and we teach our children to do the same. I greatly appreciate your PSA!! ✌️❤️

I was returning to the US and had a connection. This woman walked over to a desk and started yelling at the employee about how her son spent thousands on a ticket and that the plane left. She sat there demanding that they get her on that flight. She was full on yelling and carrying on. The poor worker kept telling her that she does not work for the airline. Y'all, it was a currency exchange booth. Giant currency symbols and signs were everywhere. She did not need to be going anywhere out of the country doing all of that.

My experience with an American tourist…. Went to the Tower of London was having a great time and then we got to the little church. The Beefeater said this is a practicing church feel free to go in but no pictures… EVERYONE stuck to the rules apart from an American woman. When she was confronted about taking pictures her reply was “I’m American” that’s it! That’s all she said! She was shown the door very quickly to the church On the other hand my city is becoming a cruise ship stop off with many American tourists and I must say I do enjoy having them around! Loud and enthusiastic 😂 Belfast, Northern Ireland

OMG ! When one travels to another country, it should be well understood that you CANNOT DO AS YOU please because you "can do what you want because you're_______________."
@marke46632 ай бұрын
First time viewer here. A good video. I liked how you took the church being closed in your stride and accepted that things like that can happen. All part of the adventure. It's not that we hate all Americans, it's just that we hate a certain type of American, you know the ones I'm talking about, you even gave an example. I worked in the hospitality industry here in Australia so got to meet a wide spectrum of American tourists. Most were very nice, some not so. The best were your military, particularly the USN and US Marines we came in contact with, always well behaved and polite, and these were guys and gals that had been at sea for months and were letting off steam. I'm looking forward to checking out more of your videos.

I was in an Art museum in Paris, just minding my own business when I saw this woman go up to a museum staff and yelled "DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?" the poor staff took a deep breath before replying, "Yes Madame, I speak English." WTF. Didn't even say "Excuse me" or "Pardon" Just got straight to the "DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH." And it's like, okay people when you're in another country where English isn't the first language, Please please please learn a bit of the native language. You don't need to be fluent, but just get enough to get around or at least help you. And if you need an English speaker and don't have a digital aid, try to find an information desk. Glad you had a good time in Paris though. I only been there about 3 times, and each time I love it.

Omg, I'm horrified and embarrassed 😳...I had a similar experience with my Aunt in Berlin Germany, cringe! We were at a lovely restaurant having lunch and she wanted a carry out (side note, they don't really do that there) any way, they didn't understand her and she got frustrated and started saying "English, English" ... when I say we were like NO MA'AM!! We gathered her quickly and left.

At 5:14, that is a cathedral at the top of the hill and overlooks the whole city and it is gorgeous, as is the Mariners Church near the old harbor. There is a mall near the old harbor that contains a museum devoted to the history of Marseilles and from which you can view two of the old original docks built by the Greeks some 2,600 years ago.

Hello AK family, I am a fellow American citizen too. Yes when I travel I always follow the rules, and I am always respectful, and carry myself well. Unfortunately I've also been scammed before too while I was in places like Cancun. I have to take it as a loss, because when you're in another country, the rules and laws are different from the USA. Once you get scammed in a foreign country, you're not going to win at all. Also the police in other countries especially poor countries are corrupt. You're right Aaron, you don't want to go to jail in another country, and you definitely don't want to have any interactions with the police (especially if it's in a 3rd world country). Yes the police will rob or scam you too, if you want to avoid jail time.

What a ridiculous comment. Without any proof you are labelling ALL police in poor countries of being corrupt. You ignorant prick. 1. What is a poor country? 2. Have you met and interacted with all of the police in these “poor” countries? You depict yourself as being ignorant and arrogant with those comments.

I love how you were like oh well the church was closed, the train broke down it is what it is we gonna have a good time .2 the whole yacht conversation hysterical. Yes and Amen! God will supply! 3. Thanks for talking about the social club sounds like fun on our 9/29 sailing I’ll be sure to make sure me and my husband get over there and husband you always selling tickets … no matter what you say #wifey got skills lol 4. Food is always subjective I agree! Thanks for letting me know to order the whole dessert menu at pink agave lol. 5. Americans always acting up and doing the most. I agree that’s why people in other countries don’t like us and don’t understand sometimes that just because you say your American doesn’t mean it’s a magic wand to let you skirt around the rules. And lastly in reference to Mario Cart…. #teamwifeallday😂😂😂😂😂 But in all seriousness. Love your videos and thank you for taking your time to vlog about your travels it is appreciated! Yachts have high maintenance fees and docking fees. Some end up abandoned because people can't pay these fees so a person could possibly take possession of one by paying the unpaid docking fees (n some jurisdictions) a purchaser could potentially have a business of buying up abandoned ships fixing them up and reselling them. It's a drain on resources for an individual to own one and doesn't make sense unless a person operates it like a business such as organizing fishing trips or taking it to international waters for gambling (which could attract attention from unsavory types who would want a cut). It makes more sense to purchase a trip from a business offering a trip than to own the ship and expenses that go with it.

We were just on a train, from Roma termini to civitaveccia, where the cruise ship was. It was packed with carnival cruising Americans. This poor local girl was trying to get to a certain door, at a stop that only let off out one door. There was a bunch of old people, with luggage blocking the aisle and they were giving her a little teasing. She mistook the door and had to turn around. They started teasing her asking her questions. She was in a hurry and they were delaying her. I could tell she was getting upset. She was rolling her eyes and shaking her head. I almost yelled, “will y’all let her pass by”. But, my husband didn’t want any trouble, even from the old farts, which we are too. They thought they were so funny and lighthearted, but they were aggravating the entire train car. People in Europe don’t do that type of thing, funny or not. Yeah, they don’t like us Americans. Lol
