Because of you I’ve enjoyed flamethrower poltergeist after the flamethrower buff, but I’ll be honest in saying that I started out using overheat poltergeist on Chandelure and I always found it pretty fun even now to mortar shoot people

I take Overheat when I see the opposing team is stacked full of high-mobility divers and I need to stay mobile. It's just the more versatile of the two options even if landing fat flamethrowers is very satisfying. ' One thing people seem to forget about Overheat - if you only fire off one volley and then use the follow-up early, it comes off cooldown faster. You can use this to kite and surprise people.

It's been happening since release pretty much If Intel is in stealth or out of screen the shot almost never renders, it has happened to me a lot while against it, it's dumb but idk what can be changed to fix that

About the cookie on metagross thing: while its true for gyro ball, its worth noting that meteor mash healing actually does scale off of your hp, so if you go into a game knowing you will play that moveset, cookie could actually be worth considering. Edit: just to clarify, this is for the meteor mash+ healing btw, the shield it gives still scales off of attack.

Yeah, so basically, don't use it and just instead use Policy or Guard

You could maybe go for a tank set if you did double stack guard on mash, maybe if you did gyro-mash, but even then, Metagross’s damage is too good not to boost, especially with its scalings. Being also without weakness policy also just sucks

@@Maaarrrrk i mean, if i were to make a cookie build it would be weight, weakness + cookie. I see no reason to use guard over cookie in this scenario, and because of meteor mash having such a long cool down, razor claw isnt that amazing with it in the first place. In the standard build i would replace razor with it, not wp or whatever.

A good Chandelure player is very scary ngl. Especially as a Gardevoir main. Sometimes I feel like he does more damage then me 😭

That's because chandelure actually does do more damage! In a straight DPS contest, chandelure wins against the other similar mages (delphox and gardevoir). The thing it lacks, however, is movement (which delphox has) and pure stuns (that gardevoir has). However, it makes up for it in damage due to its infiltrator passive. The only caveat to it is that you need to actually hit your moves (i.e. the tip of flamethrower or all three overheat attacks) to be the most effective, due to your moves' secondary effects.
