But they move like a robot, and when they get tackle they bow their head and act like being knocked out instead of rushing to get the ball back, and don't tell me about how dumb ai teammates are an absolute nightmare, Plus I played Become A Legend, My player had 95 speed and acceleration and got outrun by second division defender everytime, it was very noticeable. And when I press R2 to get a pass from my teammates they struggle to deliver the pass. I'm so frustrated, I mostly played offline, I tried to give pes chances too many times but for me, it doesn't work. There's no fun left in offline mode.

In PES its a lot easier to score a top-corner power shot as long as its aimed right. And yeah maybe FIFA can require more skill but thats because the AI is way too unrealistic. I've played fifa most of my life, I'm 39... since I downloaded the free version of pes last year I haven't turned back. Best game ever..period. sports or otherwise. There are some glitchy moments sure, but gameplay is so realistic ..feels like you're doing the moves yourself almost. Plus the quality of players in myclub you can get. Choose long grass snowy weather, it feels slower but more fluid, natural and enjoyable .. And check on the gameplan those 5 different conditions of the players ARROWS, it is important ... They also charge their ratings depending where you position them on the pitch... Teams with A and B are in the best form

Last year, I got so fed up around January because I wasn’t getting rewarded for grinding both champs and rivals, week in week out and also the gameplay was sooo shit. I stopped and tried out myclub free version. This year I bought the full game and said my goodbyes to fifa. It's weird, sometimes the complete opposite of PES 2019. In PES 2019, I remember the refs having a "if he dies, he dies" mentality where it's really hard to get a yellow card and fouls rarely happen. Gets annoying when the AI exploits it. But in 2020, several slight tussles end up being fouls. It's much easier to get a foul. But sometimes, the ref doesn't care. It's mostly obvious in derby games where the red seems to be more lenient with the home team. It feels inconsistent, but some people could argue that that's just realistic.

Long time gamer here, not so much these days. I discovered FIFA back in 1999 and played it and was in ahhh of the game play, that was my game for the next year or so, lots of good times. A year later i went to a friend's house and their 7 year old kid had a game called Kanami sports soccer. We played for a game or two and from then I was hooked. game play and agility of the players, their realistic grunts and shouts and ball to feet noises. It was like how a realistic football game should feel, it was so superior to FIFA on so many levels. The sound of ball on the turf and players footsteps on the pitch was so realistic and ahead of its time, from then on I played FIFA less and less. Kanami changed to pro Evo shortly after and I've never looked back. Lots of memories of some real fun and heated games against so many of my friends and family . Seeing who was the best at pro Evo, Damn!!! I miss those days. We spent years playing the new version of the game that came out. Every so often I would play FIFA and it was still robotic and non realistic just still stuck in the pass. Best versions of pro if I remember to me was between 2005 and 2011. Long live pro evo

But overtime i got sick of fifa 19 scripting, and started remembering PES’s freedom of editing that i used to do in the old games. Plus the amount of option files there are. Sure, you may have to pay for the big leagues and stuff, but there’s nothing like adding the Indonesian or Chilean league for free lol. The freedom in that game is insane. I even created my high school futsal team into the game, took time but it was worth the effort 😂

As a PES player (specifically 21) I will say that it's certainly not perfect. Referees are insanely biased to the AI and players are stupidly frustrating to control sometimes. Additionally outside of the gameplay FIFA smashes PES in every area. However you can score goals in PES that are better than any goal in FIFA

PES gameplay has been vastly more realistic, and vastly superior football gaming experience than FIFA for 20+ years now. FIFA is an arcade game for children with licences. PES allows for much smoother, more robust football with a wider variety of AI and you can actually implement a style of play. The ball is an independent object, rather than just an extension of the foot of whoever has possession.

It is a simulator, it is hard to master it .. Train yourself at free training using auto-feint OFF and ON... On the other way, hold on L1 for 1 or 2 seconds to protect the ball or to keep it invsmall areas.. You can use L1, choosing a direction simultaneously, release L1 and then sprint, it is very good at simple dribble 1 vs 1, but you must have the inspiration to choose the right direction

FIFA field looks so small. I was a FIFA player. first problem I have with FIFA is that when you put the hardest level in FIFA it just starts to dribble. In FIFA if you give the ball to Neymar you can't get it back because he is just dribbling and it is not realistic because in real soccer there is not that much of dribbling, it is more passing. Second problem I have with FIFA is the size of the field. It looks so small, like it takes just two or three passes to reach to the goal and gameplay is so fast and that is because of size of the field. It is so annoying. The third problem is the way to score goal. In FIFA you just shoot the ball with the top of your foot, even when you are near the goal, in real soccer when you are near the goal you shoot like passing, with side of your foot. These are all the problems I have with FIFA but I have to say FIFA's animation is way better than PES. FIFA's goalkeepers animation and players animation is so much better. I wish there was a game with PES' gameplay and FIFA's graphic(player's faces, grass color, etc.) and animation. I wish FIFA or PES do something about theses problems.

I played both since it originally launched. Konami have always outclassed fifa in terms of gameplay and player motion. But fifa always have better graphics and commentary. So its up to individual preference, they will always be competitor so that we users have something to choose and have a debate about.

The one thing in Fifa which I like is dynamic adaptive difficulty in game. In ini file You can change/add rule "if You score 2 goals before 20 minutes raise level by 0.2, if You have less shots that 2 before 30 minutes decrease difficulty by 0.1". This was nice feature in fifa 15. Apart from that You can control difficulty aspects in ini file like difficulty of tackling, cpu dribbing etc. You are not reduced to just choose between 5 difficulty levels in game, you can overwrite some settings in ini files. I have played fifa 15 for over 5 years and during this time I tuned game settings in ini files in such way that even today I am satisfied when I play game I can win with Lazio over SPAL 4-2 like a moment ago or lost Juventus with Milan 1-2. This is very realistic that you don't always win/loss, you can beat much stronger team, lost with much weaker team like in real life. Does anybody knows if PES 2021 have possibility in some ini file to control tackling settings or you can add rule "when leading with 2 goals increase difficulty during match by 0.2" ? I would like to switch from fifa 15 to fifa 22/pes 21 in near future and wonder which game to choose. I don't know if even fifa 22 has still such possibility to tune gameplay.

PES 2021 is highly parametric in each single player. For example, some south american forwards are famous to be great instant shooters (with no run) like Vitinho, from Flamengo. He's able to do that and he's strong with both feet. The ball takes a particular swirl and you can see it when he scores and the ball just have his own particulary phisics with the net! It is so realistic!

I'll try to explain it. PES 2021 is generally a nice vs AI experience. But in master league (i.e career mode), you will experience some games - especially important ones like derbys and similar, to have some sort of extremely annoying dynamic difficulty / scripting, where your players start behaving like idiots and the opposing team is passing on rails and you can just feel you're going to concede. This can be remedied to an extent with putting passing and shooting on manual, which is a more realistic experience - but it will still happen. The way to play those games is parking the bus, only playing safe, counter attack football. But its very annoying. Still, not as bad as I remember fifa being.

PES always had what is called "player condition" since I can remember. If a player doesn't have Excellent condition, they will always play less than their full ability. in Master League, you have to select your players based on this otherwise it's they're not gonna give you their best performance. I don't know if that's what you call scripting. I don't play FIFA so I can't compare

I think there is a tie, since both are very different. Pes is going to be a simulator and Fifa an arcade, and both are very good in their own way that they decided to take to developing a gameplay. Although I prefer Fifa for the simple fact that it entertains and amuses me more. But that's already my own opinion. Another thing that many Pes fans believe is that by being more realistic, it is already better, when in reality it is not. Leaving aside the gameplay issue, there is no discussion of which is better in my opinion ; )

To me both games have things that they do better than the over... But for Pes I think they should improve player jersey quality, goalkeeper diving and réactions, the gameplay fluency, For the rest i think Pes is a better football game than fifa right now. FIFA is now an arcade game where goalkeepers can do Neymar skills as well

Skills are always a right stick movement followed by a left stick movement. Also some players possess different tricks to others. Easy once you know the combinations 👍🏼

I hate FIFA but PES has been going downhill since PES 16. You can make the game look better here but it isn't the reality. The gameplay is so unintuitive. All people do is sit back and launch through balls. It's impossible to beat 8 defenders in the box with lag and shitty passing and first touches. Dribbling is good looks wise but it doesn't work, the stupid arm protect the ball animation ruins everything People can say what they want but PES atleast in myclub makes you play in the most linear way possible Offline against AI it's just hit the post/loose ball/ball roll with pogba-neymar simulator
