I personally do not use make up or jewelry. So, I am not being defensive. However, I think that this matter is overflogged! Removal of jewelry or make up, etc is not what takes anyone to heaven. What enables us to see GOD is a pure heart founded upon the blood of JESUS CHRIST and the work of HIS salvation on the cross of calvary. What makes me upset is that there are still some of us judging based on appearance and think that alone means we’re living for Christ or not, when that’s not how it goes. Just because you may not wear a certain attire doesn’t make you more holy than those who do. In my opinion, our outward looks should reflect Jesus. Otherwise we just look like the world. It’s not a sin to wear makeup but it’s a sin when it is becoming something obsessive. I think the same with jewelry too. I personally just like dresses, shorts, shirts, and leggings(with shirts long enough to cover my bottom). I don’t do it to fit in though. I do it because these are clothes I have access to, and all my clothes are modest and cover my body. My swimsuit isn’t a two piece. If I would feel comfortable wearing it in front of Jesus then I would wear it in public too.

Even though I do wear pants and sometimes dresses, I do dress modestly and make sure my chest and if I'm wearing a dress my knees are covered. If it's above the knee then it's too short and if it shows my shoulders and chest then I wear a cardigan to cover it up. Once in awhile I wear a daisy necklace and earrings but that's not all the time and I rarely wear makeup except I put lipstick that looks a little darker than my natural lip color. Most of the time I go without makeup. I even wear a bathing suit that is up to my calves and I wear a bathing suit top that looks like a shirt that covers my chest and short sleeve. I don’t think that people get the concept of what God is saying, when God says to not love the things of this world he means Materialistic things that people can become obsessed over that will rot the spirit like Money, Women have to do self care and men too. Women need to look presentable and decent in this world in order to get a job or to a wedding. There is nothing wrong with wearing a little makeup or jewelry to show femininity. It is not wrong for a man to wear a watch or a ring on his finger. It is if he obsessively puts his personal belongings before God that it becomes a problem.

I really don't know what to believe when it comes to beauty and modesty. I thought that God wanted us to be happy and to have freedom. Even though I love being natural, there are times when I have to put on a make-up, wigs and other accessories. For example, when I go for a job interview. I don't think employers would hire someone who is dressed like that. I really need clarity.

Beauty does not come from merely an outward showiness. There is a radiant beauty that shows when someone has the right heart and Spirit. Personally i stopped wearing makeup and other things years ago and have not gone back to that. Ive been doing fine without it. I think we need to make sure we have the right heart and are not concerned with drawing attention from others to ourselves.

@@archibongpatrick7065 I'm studying the word of God from my childhood and asked about jewellery issue to God many times, and He told nothing to me about wearing a simple chain or a small ring, that's all what I use. Now talking about extra accessories like hair extension and make up, the Holy Spirit convinced me that I shouldn't use it. I also don't use jeans, sleeveless clothes, short clothes and fashion accessories. I'm not convinced the way you teach not to wear ornaments and chasing after other laxuries such as expensive clothes, big houses and laxurious life. It's irony and hypocrisy. If you prefer not to use any jewellery, you should live a model life which is simple and humble. But you reject somethings and chase laxury, which is useless. Matthew 23:27-28 New King James Version (NKJV)“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. I remember the pharisees and Sadducees in the time of Jesus when some pastors pointlessly teach to poor people this way because the Pharisees and Sadducees taught and suppressed the people of Jesus time about Sabbath and many other things the same way and Jesus changed their misconception through His deeds. This shouldn't stress all the outward things. Men did not wear trousers in the Old Testament when this was said. Zachius the tax collector was in lavish clothes and beyond rich but Jesus accepted him and never once scolded him for dressing like the world, He just loved him and Zacheus changed inwardly because of God's love not judgement of his outward appearance

I did away with make up, nails, trousers, fornication fake hair. My life has never been this good. Instead of speaking about what we're wearing we should be speaking about what our hearts desires are and how to go away from them so that we can only see our Fathers desire from us. We should repent from our sins ( what we put on our selves as close does not matter). We shouldn't wear anything that makes us promiscuous and lustful. But indeed if you love Jesus truly, you won't have the desire to be promiscuous or lustful. As for makeup or jewellery I don't see how it's harmful if the intention behind it is well.

I know when God through His Spirit had a sorority sister to come into my life, she had her Holy Bible on her job. It was ordained of God for me to see her after many years. She showed me in her Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 22:5, which states women should not put on anything that pertaineth to a man. So, when I went home, the Spirit of God talked to me and took me into my closet and said “now get a trash bag and throw away those pants and don’t give them to nobody and go throw them in the trash!” From that day to this day 2024, I have not worn any pants. But, one thing that disturbs me about this video, is they include for women not to wear a wig. I wear a wig because I cannot bend my elbow to fix my hair. I am 70 years old and the Holy Bible does not say anything about not wearing a wig! This man’s idea. Now the other scriptures are plain, when it speaks about broiled hair, jewelry, modest apparel, does not mean you have to wear long skirts or dresses and look homely and unattractive! And wear a turbine or head covering on your head looking like an old lady, when you are young! The Holy Bible states a woman’s hair is her glory. Mary did not have to put on that unattractive turbine on her head!!! I now have lived holy for over 40 years, the Holy Spirit does not condemn me for wearing my wig as long it is in good taste for my age! It has gray in it! lol I don’t wear make up for scripture states in Psalms 149:4 He God will beautify the meek with salvation. Our countenance should permeate in your face. Mary wore the same thing. You can wear uptodate clothing as long as it covers your body and the skirt or dress does not have to drag the floor, so to speak! It is more to dressing holy, but you have to be filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence in speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. That is most important part after repenting of your sins and received Jesus Christ as your Savior! Read Acts chapters 1 and 2. Also, Acts 19:2, which asks the question, have you received the Holy Ghost since ye believed. Believe meaning since you believed in Jesus Christ. I pray this helps some one, In the name of Jesus Christ to Him be all the glory. Amen! So be it!!!
