The bears and vikings are not good defenses but baker is showing that he can make the throws necessary to win games. This is by far the most talented receiving corps he's had, baker could definitely be on his way to comeback player of the year. But let's temper expectations considering the defenses he's faced. But I do have to toot my own horn, I was telling people all preseason that Mike Evans was going to have a really good year and he's gonna outperform his adp easily. He's a qbs best friend, big athletic guy with a huge catch radius that runs solid routes...he's everything Baker has needed his entire career! Baker has proven people wrong his whole life from high school to Texas tech walk on to oklahoma walk on to Heisman winner...I will not be shocked if Baker can carve out a kirk cousins in minnesota, Geno Smith in Seattle kind of career revival.

Baker's mechanics and thinking about the scenarios are the best of his career. About time someone realized this has to do with Dave Canales. No one in the media but Underdog Fantasy has noted and made mention of it. The play calling is much better this year than last year, using Baker's mobility and his accurate throws. They keep this up they will make the playoffs.

I just want to point out the play that was almost a pick should have been a 7 yard and in and the route ran was not crisp at all and it was run too deep. That doesn't absolve Baker of the throw, but it would be more accurate to say they weren't on the same page on that look, than just Baker made a bad throw. I agree the best decision would be to throw the ball away, but a tight route would have kept the ball from danger, however, your receiver is getting torched if he catches it.
