D-Day Wall not being allowed sounds cursed. Like, how much ground do you have to give away for free before you're allowed to push them out? I can't imagine what the justification is for not allowing a D-Day Wall that isn't just an arbitrary bonus to the Allies letting them get a free invasion off without needing to tech into Marines and other landing techs. Actually, some of the vanilla mods do change starting civilian counts slightly. The idea is to try and balance the total IC the factions produce, but it's more difficult in practice than execution.

I dont play Hearts of Iron all that much so I do wonder if the game correctly represents the greatest weakness of germany at that time - the lack of oil. After all the main reason why Hitler attacked soviets is that they calculated that by the 1944 they would not have enough oil to keep their tanks operational. They had to attack in 1941 and hope that either soviets collapse right away or they take oil deposits in the south otherwise they would be screwed which they were.
