I've got an idea: what if riot released a new game mode where the map is flipped, drake is toplane and herald/baron is botlane? Chances are there will be the problem that people are still going to play botlane on the drake side, i don't know how to deal with that. But if it was possible to execute it would be a good toplane buff imo.

I think if you give toplane a buff again there will be a meta where if your toplaner looses the lane you autoloose the game whatever is going on with the mid and botside. I think there is no need for a buff but just an other playstile on toplne tho that playstlyle will bring back shit like akshan

I'm relatively new player. Can you explain me why is top lane different from bot lane. The only difference between the two is that the top has a herald and the bot has a dragon, and I think herald is far better than dragons. Btw nice video :)

dragons rn (idk if the nerfs went thru for how they effect them) are better than heralds and should be higher prio but then again it depends game to game

Herald only gives you at least, a few plates, and at max, 1-2 towers. Drag lasts the whole game and gives your team crazy stats

its not just the objectives, as a top laner you cant impact the game until laning phase ends because you cant roam - its almost impossible to do for many reasons, and even then you are just there to soak up damage and put enemy abilities on CD after the laning phase ends. mix this with bot lane being meta almost every season which means that both jng and mid will path bot to play around the adcs - you are literally just in a 1v1 for 20 mins, then you for the most part just help engage and create space, you yourself as a top laner could be replaced with a target dummy AI that has some engage tools/stuns, unironically. The main difference between top and bot lane is that its a solo vs duo lane (xp and ganking incentive diff) + the champs that you usually pick on these lanes. ADCs and their items are way overtuned and have been for a long time now, while tank items are laughable, and bruisers have like 2 good items

Toplane doesnt need a buff its pretty strong, its more like Botlane needs a nerf than toplane needing a buff and i get one thing will lead to another but Top is by no means weak. The best nerf to botlane in SoloQ is to hard nerf all enchanter supports and let the tank supports escape their cells because no one really cares about them and they will never really be strong in soloQ.

The last toplane buff was on 12.22, toplane and midlane xp buffs (midlane got 1 less gold per creep, amounts to around 100 less g). Its the reason why a jungler can go 10/0 and same cs as toplane and still be same level as them. Even when top gets buffed ppl still find a way to complain. i love being 5/0 but the 0/2 darius still beats the shit out of me because he's level 12 and im level 10 hecarim

the more i watch your builds. I kinda wanna give an advice that helps me fight GP. at least when i play Garen or darus, or rhasst jg. DD and deadmans plate. It helps me stay on him and make sure he has no choice but to fight me no matter what. Or your other build, iceborn works great too and honestly I think you should have went it this game.
