Y’all should do some monster tarpon fishing during the summer months. Not sure about the gulf coast, but on the East coast there are tons and they get huge. Pretty similar to the sturgeon

At least when his day comes he will be ready. It takes most people more then a year to break 10ft though his circumstances are different being a GCN member so that shortens the learning curve.

Guys do you have any suggestions on where to fish from the beach on the west side of the Alabama/Florida line? I want to tempt catching your famed Mako. LOL.

It's tough over there because shark fishing is banned on state park beaches in orange beach and gulf shores. But most all public beach is only state park grounds haha. Fort Morgan would be your best bet man! Good luck, we are pulling for you to get that mako!!
