People need to be grateful 'there but for the grace of God go I" storms seem to be more powerful each year.

I definitely agree with having a diversified supply of food. I've lost three freezers worth of food due to hurricanes. For that reason, I also have pantry stable foods and water and beverages. You never know when mother nature throws a fit.

I live in Cocke County, TN, right next to NC LINE, and we got ALOT OF SEVERE damage. Flooding, loss of houses, vehicles, and everything people owned. There was no time to get out or save anything water from 3 rivers surrounding us, and they all 3 overtook our county. Please pray it is all gone for alot of our residents

Yeah. If the power had been out we woulda lost a couple of hundred dollars worth of food. We ate and ate down our frozen stuff before hand and I drew up ice to put in every cooler in the house to go to a hotel that had power. This was a scary one. I saw a lady buying up a bunch of cans of potted meat and Vienna sausage. I cannot eat that stuff anymore, I'd be rolling on the floor with stomach pains. Not sure about chef Boyardee either. I guess I'd have to sip on cold soup from a can and eat sardines and tuna. I'd be grateful as heck too. Bless.

Cold soup and sardines and tuna is how I got through the hot summer, and Chef Boyardee right out of the can. The weather turned cooler and it was a taste sensation to have warmed up ravioli:):)

The Apocalypse has, or is at this time, happening...At least for the people in Israel and Jews world-wide and sirens going off in Israel in many cities as missiles shot into Israel which then means people to a bomb shelter or a 'safe room' if they have one in their home. People here in Israel have sldo been stocking up w various items to keep in their 'safe room' or wherever. Me...I live about an hour from Kiryat Shemona which is not far from the border of Lebanon. I live alone on the 9th floor; top floor apartment in my my building. My daughter and her husband insisted that I leave my home and come stay by them in the middle of the country. I have been by them since last week W, at night. I feel 'displaced' even tho I have my own room to sleep in at my daughter's, and it has a tv in it. There is plenty of food and yet I still miss my home. Blessings, love and prayers for all, from Israel 🇮🇱. Peace for all on this Earth and in this World! Am Yisroel Chai =The Nation of Israel Lives! Israel Will Survive!

Hi from Los Angeles🙋♀️ With the holidays coming up there will be food drives to donate to. I always include a few cans of cat and dog food and pet treats in my donation along with the human food. Keeping in mind that it may help families in need avoid the heartbreak of surrendering a beloved pet.

I'm definitely interested in your stickers. I commented earlier but forgot to tell you, we went tl good will yesterday and I have been thinking about getting a different rocker recliner to better support my back and neck. The other one is high backed enough just raired back a little to far and wasn't good w my osteoarthritis and disc degeneration in my spine. We found a lazy boy recliner that's in good shape and perfect fit for my back n neck for 19.99. Bought ot loaded in our old 93 s10 amd brought it home. We just love finding deals on items and food.

Hi Granny! For many years we've been stocking up on whatever we can for the pantry to get us through the winter 'cause where we live our power goes out a lot for days at a time and the highways in and out of our area are prone to slides. One highway was closed for almost 8 months. It sure pays to be prepared!

One of the ways inclement weather prepping is a gift to the community in my city is that we are the evacuation destination so our community grows by thousands as you can imagine grocery stores are picked clean rapidly. Being prepared lessens the immediate burden on the system and increases what's available for extremely stressed people who ran from a storm that's doing God knows what to everything they left behind. Just a thought.

Hi Granny, 😍 glad to hear you are ok from that bad hurricane Helene. Sorry to hear your daughter's house got damaged.😂 Glad she and family didnt get hurt. I'm happy you are still going camping soon. It will be really fun and relaxing. Hope Gizmo puppy 🐶 is doing good. I always keep 3-4 cases of 24 water, soup, etc. in case of an earthquake here in California (on the Andreas fault) near Palm Springs. There is a Port issue (Longshoremen) going to go on strike by Tues. OCT. 1/24 unless an agreementis signed to avert strike. Not good as all goods will be held up for awhile could be into next year 2025, and I am going to stock up more soon. Shelves will start to empty after a couple of weeks seen online. Take care, hope your Mom is ok.💕 Great video. Stay well. Mary - California.😊

But all of us are ok and the Lord is great and he has his hands around us Friday. Praise his holy name. Our home was with inches of being destroyed. We are so blessed.

If you run across a cookbook with camping meals, could you let me know what the title and author is? We plan on making our meals on a camp stove should the power go out. Because there will be no TV or radio for entertainment, I've stockpiled books, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzle books, board games, cards, etc. when yardwork and cleaning the house get boring.

Granny, you are one wise woman. Whenever canned soups were on sale, my mom would buy a bunch. She kept them in boxes under her bed and paid close attention to expiration dates. She also had lots of boxes of pasta in the pantry. Of course she would have needed water to cook those! Canned fruit is also a good idea.

It depends where you live, there's no need to stockpile food in the UK coz we don't have any weather disasters that prevent us going to the shops and there's shops everywhere.
@margaretnation74645 сағат бұрын
I know of preppers in the UK. Suppy Chain issues or job loss or high food prices. There's more reason to prep beside weather. We dont have hurricanes, but we might some day have earthquake. I definitely dont want to depend on government if it stops working for disabled or seniors or veterans.
