Hey what's up guys, in this video we had a coaching session that started off pretty standard, but ended up turning into a session of life-coaching and discussing how we focus and find a goal! Honestly was pretty pleasant and the session went waaaaay longer than originally intended. I have ADHD, so focus has always been a big problem in my life. These were some of the things I found were the best ways to build real focus and to really improve in Valorant, or anything you want to improve in. I hope it helped her, and helps any of you guys struggling with focus issues!

This is awesome and hits really close to home. For various reasons up until very recently, I always had this feeling when I did things I enjoyed like playing Valorant, for example; I felt like I didn’t want to invest too much time and effort into something like a game because it wasn’t “productive” or didn’t really have a clear payoff. At the same time I would wonder why I never actually got better despite really wanting to and playing a decent amount. I was intentionally limiting myself from doing my best at something I enjoy and I thought it was in my best interest. It took me forever to realize how self destructive that is. As soon as I made the decision to stop thinking that way, it’s like a magical switch was flipped. Now I look forward to absorbing as much information as possible that will help me improve. Tutorials are so interesting to me now, and make me excited to play the game, rather than feeling like a chore. If I’m autopiloting, it’s easier to snap out of it and regain focus. When I watch videos of higher ranked players, I’m pausing and rewinding every play to analyze how they peek, strafe, use util, etc. It’s insane how much I have noticed myself improve in a short time of actually playing with a new intention compared to playing ultra-passively for so long. I still have a long way to go and I’m sure the progress will plateau at some point, but I just wanted to share my experience on how much your way of thinking can affect your performance. Sorry for the ramble and thanks for the vid Royalg!

"its a disservice to other girls if i play badly" is such a strange thing to say yet i 100% get that. idrk why thats even a thing but i will just never comm if im not at least 2nd frag or smth and after then theres a little motivation to not fall in frags.

2:40 For this while yes some of it is def mental I would also like to add that the game tracks headshot% by damage tick, so lets say you're playing Raze and you get 4 one taps with no body shots and then throw a nade and get damage, the nade counts as a damage and lowers your overall headshot% even though you never shot someone in the body. So characters that don't have any aoe and splash damage such as Jett, Sage, and Reyna (and others) are going to always have an advantage compared to Viper who gets alot of nade damage when it comes to calculating headshot%

I have had a hard time ranking up because of this exact same issue. Like I would get a lot more frags when I play solo and silent in a game, then when I play with a duo. What really helped me was trying to forget about the pressure, and focus on getting "in the zone" more.

I somewhat practice meditation (with an app on my phone called Atom with a skibbled looking picture) which I think helped, but meditation helps slowly, you don't become a monk after just one session but after some time you'll notice it more and more.

In my eyes this is a tilt issue. I tilt in the exact same way. A lot the views on tilting is about a raging tilt, however if your thoughts on the game are causing you to not be able to focus that is also tilt. My advice is to take breaks and focus on what makes you frustrated.

I have been playing this game for over a year and I'm lvl200 smth, I'm still bronze. I always feel guilty about being this low in rankings, because I see people with levels 68 already being in plat, and it makes me feel worthless. But I always forget that everyone learns at different speeds, and that some people most likely have played other shooting games before this one for years. It still makes me so sad, because I'm really really trying, but I'm still doing quite bad. Then there's people saying, "there's no way that a lvl200 is still in bronze, it's just not possible". I'm always comparing myself with others, I have come to the point where even sometimes when I team/match MVP, I'm talking about 25+ kills, and I still feel like I could have done a lot better just because we lost.

I really wanna improve and get good Its just the problem that Im really bad at focusing on multiple things Like lets say one of my teammate is behind me and im waiting for a enemy to come im like kinda focused but at the same time not focused on that enemy to come, that i completely forget that theres a teammate behind me like they die and another enemy comes like i dont realise that bc im so focused on that one thing and its so fucking annoyingggggg idk what to do and why i have that

I com every game and without fail every reyna I play with asks one of two questions in text chat, "How old are you?" and "Are you nine?" And it has been this way from silver to diamond. If you ask people this question, stop. The person you are asking will feel judged if they answer and awkward if they dont. I generally just laugh it off or answer it seriously but if these types of questions were never asked then I think more people would use vc.

My weaknesses are about my confident even about comming in valorant(To be clear, i used to get a sexist and toxic tm before). I tend to lose focus when that happened and i may felt bad for other tms. I can relate to her feeling about the being a girl thing, you always know the moment they know you are no longer just playing for yourself you are now a representation of your gender as a whole :/ you dont want it to be that way but it is that way.
@Saacary
@Saacary Жыл бұрын
You need to realise that you're creating that reality within your own head, you're not representing a gender you're playing a video game. You should be representing yourself and yourself alone. Comming is extremely important. 90% of people couldn't care less what gender you are. If anything the knowledge that theres a girl in the lobby makes everyone play better because they want to impress, this is just how guys are. Ofc there's always toxicity in competitive games like valorant and it's definitely not gender specific. Just have to remember to not take it so personal and simply mute them.
