Hear me out. I finally achieved the hair I want after I follow this YT channel since the beginning. I did keratin treatment, then everytime before blow-dry I use hair serum 4 drops. Then I used the flat wrap technique, and boom my hair stays the way I want,smooth, shiny and silky. It gets better if use some hair products. All thanks to this chanel

I paused at 1:50 to make this comment, the rest of the video may make me look stupid though 😂 most of the time when someone brings a photo like that I’ll point out how short the corners actually are (much shorter than a traditional men’s cut), then I’ll point out that very short blunt fringe and then most clients would go “oh I didn’t notice it was THAT short and blunt...” then after tweaking it to what they actually thought they saw in the first place it’s not even the same haircut from the photo. This happens like 7 out of 10 times. People bring a photo with a deliberately bold statement piece in the haircut (like your inspo photo) then they back out once you isolate that statement piece for them.

I think my problem is that I'm going for such a unique haircut and it is SO distinctive that it's taken me literally YEARS to perfect it, and it's still evolving. I am a barber the reason your haircut does not look like the photo is because he needs to have a slight disconnect on the sides and by that I mean not a perfect fade but more importantly for your Fringe it needs to be blunt cut. And then you do a lot of texture cutting into the hair and thats it

Well there’s also a major difference in how the stylist did yours. The fade wasn’t done nearly as well or as smooth amd the fade starts lower. Also the hair you have on top is wayyy longer than in that photo. Like your hairs in front are like an inch or longer and his is less than half that.

The cuts are totally different. The picture you showed it a textured crop and almost a faux hawk. The cut you got retained too much squareness and weight in the parietal ridge. He also didn’t crop the hairline at all. It’s not your hairline to blame. You didn’t get the cut in the pic at all tbh. BUT the cut you DID get is clean!

I'd like to add that when you reference photos, be specific. If you mention "I want something like this (shows photo) medium fade with skin" but don't mention cutting or leaving the top your barber wont know. If you want it shorter just mention how long you want it to be or how much you want off. I always have to mention to new barbers I want medium fade skin, nothing off the top, no feathering and no line ups. Dont be afraid to tell them want you want or looking for, it makes it easier on them and your paying for a service get it the way you want(within reason)
@lykenben3 жыл бұрын
...and that is very true about different types of hair, I was talking about this with my barber and he goes through so many patrons that want a specific hairstyle they saw on Insta or a celebrity. Most don't work out cuz of the features you pointed out on what goes on with your individual scalp. I agree with you, you should make it your own. I have to admit, the short hair style you did looked pretty chill, but with your sides growing in and your texture up top, looks way good on you. It makes it you 👍💯
