Looks like a good day on the water. Here's an idea for you. Why not ditch your conventional rods and use a Hardy Ultralite NSX SR Fly Rod? These are light 6-section rods and are very easy to carry. I had picked up the prior generation Demon Smuggler (905-6) and it's amazing. The rod tube is 22", so it fits anywhere. They aren't cheap, but worth every penny. I actually picked up the 5,6, and 8wt from a dealer in the UK. With the Dollar at parity against the Euro, it makes them reasonable. Heck, once you start getting monetized from KZbin, you can write off off as a business expense. 🙂
@FLYALLSZN2 жыл бұрын
Shoot that sounds amazing! I’d like to get my hands on a demon smuggler just for the name alone! I don’t “need” another rod but I might have to look into it!

@@FLYALLSZN I'm right there with you regarding the don't need another rod thought. If you google what I gave you and add the word review to the end, you should get to a fly shop out of Ireland. The guy reviewed both the 4wt and 5wt. Here's another great rod to check out. I picked up the Lamson Purist 4wt. The rod is stunning. It fishes like a $900 rod but costs $400. The downside is it's a 2-piece. I know a fair bit about rod design and the video presentation on their website was amazing. I was torn between getting the Purist and the Hardy 6-piece but went for the Lamson as I already had a 6-piece.
