we were just talking about building our internal CLI tools in go instead of python since it's so easy to ship the binary around instead of your whole python environment. Looks really good! TY for video

As an actual fan of Python, not a hater, I only make cli apps with Go nowadays. It’s so nice. You’ll be happy you did, the only thing I’ll say about choosing Go for these things and it might just be a skill issue, but if you’re dealing with parsing data it’s not as intuitive / easy to do the things. Good luck and you’ll be really happy with it!

​@@SeanCallahan52I've had issues with writing parsers in Go. Might be a skill issue I don't know, switched to Rust and it was a much more better experience and I managed to write more CLI apps with it. It wasn't that Go was difficult, just didn't feel as intuitive for writing parsers specifically.
