Get the 66 bus from Victory Monument to Pak Kret (Major is the bus stop to ask for) then walk a minute back to get a motorbike taxi to take you to Wat Glan pier (usually costs 10 baht but may have gone up recently) then get a little ferry boat across to the wonderful Koh Kret.

Do you know when come back the last ferry? And when goes the first one?I would like to go there on Saturday after i land at BKK at midnight. I will leave my baggage at the accomodation and travel there directly at the morning. Thanks :)

In a short space of time you've capture the charm of Koh Kret beautifully. When i hear the name Bangkok I am thrown back to mid 1961. A stop over on our flight to New Zealand from the Netherlands. No straight through then- hotels at night. My one and only stay in Bangkok. I imagine it was more like Koh Kret Island then. Thanks for the inspiration. 😎🇳🇱🙋‍♀🇳🇿🌺

I was there 27th April Saturday. It was a good day trip in the intense heat at 40c which made the trip uncomfortable. The Koh Kret was quiet with little tourists to my surprise. We did some food and tried the craft beer at chit beer. Overall is a nice place to visit but not during the hot weather.

Curious how does the river boats/cruises work ... are they like taxis and need to negotiate ? or is it like buses with various stops and schedules ? How much is ride from Nonthaburi pier ?

You can take the public boat from downtown to nonthaburi which is like a bus and costs about 13baht. From nonthaburi it is a private long-tail boat so more like a taxi. You will have to wait for other passengers to arrive. I think we paid 100 baht each. Hope that helps
