The Philippines has some of the best beaches in the world and we can definitely agree with that comment. From start to finish we loved the stunning Beauty of this amazing country.

We chose Umi Travel and tours. This tour was booked through our wonderful hotel in El Nido, The Sea Cocoon Hotel. Which is definitely the best place to stay in El Nido. Our Tour left El Nido beach around 8.30am and we arrived back about 4pm.

We have been travelling the Philippines for the last few weeks. Our first day in Philippines was in the capital city of Manila. Our first video We explore Manila is available to watch here • We are in MANILA 🇵🇭 FI...
After Manila we took a flight from manila to puerto princesa. We then had to travel from puerto princesa to el nido (which was rough if we are being honest) In our last video we gave our first impressions of el nido. Spoiler alert, we loved it. Palawan is why you travel to the Philippines. Whenever you check out Philippines travel tips and recommendations, El Nido always comes up. It really has some of the Best beaches in the Philippines. We also love Experiencing Filipino hospitality and to be honest we found much more of it here in Palawan than in Manila. We would highly recommend renting a scooter in Palawan, you can get Off-the-beaten-path in the Philippines with your own set of wheels. We have one more video to come from Palawan. It is definitely a Must-visit destinations in the Philippines. without a doubt. Its is probably the Top attractions in the Philippines but we have many other places to explore so maybe that could change. The most beautiful island in the Philippines maybe in the planet is called 'BATANES" - visit this island before you go home otherwise your vacation is not complete. If you guys need a change of pace, Zambales are renowned for great overlanding(4x4 jeeps), hiking and camping. Mapanuepe Lake and Crater Lake are one of the best place if your looking for that peace and quiet away from tourists.

The Philippines has a great history too. The Filipinos themselves focus on the changes in the political system and the history of social transformation BUT there is also history from our European point of view. Ports in the Philippines during the continental conquest and colonial era, Philippine ports were Spanish and Portuguese. What we are most interested in is whether there were pirates and so they were and even had their ports. From the Philippine point of view, it is not attractive, but Romanticism in the eyes of Europeans shows pirates as free and rich people. The stories were different and you are on an earth that used to be wonderful and scary at the same time tell a little about it. I myself met many Filipinos who had Spanish names or surnames. There are places whose names are not Filipino and you have to look for treasures of history there 😉 Good luck! Get vaccinated against tropical diseases.

Pathfinder Polska, Yes Pilipinos mostly have Spanish Names and Surnames because we were under the Spanish Regime for 333 years. And Ferdinand Magellan who discovered the Philippines was a Portugese. Pirates? Hmmm I guess the notable places for Pirates were in the Caribbeans. But during the Spanish Era, there was a Chinese Pirate named Limahong who tried to enter the Philippines but was contained by the Spaniards at Manila Bay. Regarding places whose names are not Pilipinos. We have lots of them afterall we were colonized by Spain, Japanese and Amercans. And now the Philippines is somewhat a Melting Pot of different Culture wherein Americans, Europeans, Russians, Chinese, Koreans and almost all citizens of the world are now flocking and living in the Philippines. Pilipinos are so welcoming and don't discriminate regardless of Color, Religion or Language as long as you respect us and our Laws we also respect in return.

When I was there during the pandemic, it was empty and everything was closed. There were no hotels or restaurants open and tourism was down, so I often spent time with fishermen and asked people privately for help with shopping. Now it may be tight but you have full service and choice that I didn't have. Your kayaking trips or group swimming to the islands did not exist during my stay and everything was closed.
