I see a lot of the salty behavior in aging/elderly people, and it came to a head during the COVID pandemic. The aging narcissist/control freak revealed themselves very clearly. They can't stand that life (and often technology) has passed them by, the world is no longer one they recognize, and they're BIG MAD about younger people in leadership roles. So they channel that anger into stopping other people from growing or succeeding.
