On the EU version, it’s roughly 1 square is 1m and it measures from the centre of the pin rather than the edge of the hole so that’s why when you’re on the edge it’s still nearly half a square from the centre and gives 1 foot

Important note: pin placement is directly caused from how good your previous rounds have been…so it intentionally gives harder pin placements the better u do. So if u intentionally do crap u get easier pin placements in later holes…so it might be strategic to do kinda mid on easier shots so u can secure easier pins on the harder shots…like this so poof can be aware so he is able to get plat medal

I got the Platinum! 62 feet on the dot! You might just be better at Target Practice than I am, but I think Hitting the Green is easier despite being awful as well. Putting is probably the easiest of the three Golf games in general, but the Platinum is stupid for that too. So far I have four Platinum medals. As soul crushing as it can be, getting the Platinums feels so good. I have the ones for Hitting the Green, Working the Bag, Hitting Home Runs, and Swing Control. One more and I'll have a third of them! Thanks for inspiring me to play the Wii Series. It's Hell, but fun too. As someone with Tourette's Syndrome and a crippling anxiety disorder, these aren't games I should be playing, but I'm also very stubborn and determined. My theory is that the visuals and game mechanics were made separately from the mini games, which resulted in a mini game that had too small a scale for some aspect of the rest of the game. They just slapped a random multiplier to make things larger in this mini game to make it work

For those holes where you hit it seemingly correctly only to be short, they always looked like the shots were uphill from your ball placement. In irl golf, uphill shots take more power to reach the same location. I can't say for sure this is how the game processes these distances, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.

I can mathematically proce the distance values are wrong and inconvenient. There's a grid on the floor; when it was 1.5 times away, it said 6 feet, and when it was 2 tiles away it said 8 feet, so 1 tile would be 4 feet. But then he got it 5 tiles away, the distance should have been 20 feet but it was 13 feet. I tried predicting it and it would always be off. Another time it was 2 tiles away and it was 5 feet instead of 8 like it was before. So the system is wrong and inconsistencies with its own rules.
