You can get a lot of information on county/state records which are publicly available if you have a name and address, you just need internet access. I think they’re using that info for attendance and checking to see if members are paying their tithes. If this is your church … you should have left the first time they asked, it’s all about the money.

My former pastor took the church on a retreat and he was in a room and outside of the room the church members were laying on the floor calling &yelling the name of Jesus like they were insane the pastor would call them into the room one at a time and give them a list of demons that they supposedly had living in their bodies. As he the pastor sat in that room in dark sunglasses reminded me of Jim Jones I was shaken to the core of my soul. Long story short I escaped that cult. Ran for my very life!!! One of the Best things I ever did in my life!

Thank you for sharing this message. I always thought Rodney Howard Brown ministry was weird. I met a woman who wanted to become a member of their church but couldn't keep the quota of winning ten souls a week. So she never joined the church. Also these people lead their congregation in the spirit of laughter and tongue speaking without any interpretation and call it the fire of God. There defense is Sarah laughed when God blessed her womb because she had the spirit of joy and this is why they believe in bursting out in laughter during church service. The security sounds extra weird and I will continue to boycott this cult like organization.

The laughter was genuinely frightening to me. I got chills while watching. It looked more like they'd been hit with Joker Venom than The Spirit. I have no idea why they have id checks and wavers and bracelelts. But, to be fair, I remember a time when churchs had open doors all the time and now we have to have security systems and locked doors. I remember a time when I was shocked to hear of churches with security teams and allowing guns in church but now I understand why as we've experienced things where it was needed. Last year, our pastor came to the church alone, unlocked the door and walked in to find a drug addict in the church. He'd broken a window and run wild. Pooping and peeing and vomitting in the floor (why not use the restrooms?), breaking things, taking all the food out of the freezer and leaving it in the floor. Our pastor was able to call the police and they caught the man who'd done it to different churches in our area. Now our pastor carries. Just last week, a woman called and cancelled her car insurance and had no tag and she proceeded to drive across our whole parking lot at 60 mph and rammed into the sanctuary. Fortunately it didn't kill her and didn't do a lot of damage to our church building. But what the heck? Why did she do it? You have to know our physical location to tell that it was deliberate. It wasn't an accident. I remember a time when the children's wing (that sounds bigger than it was, it was a small church) was opened for parents to get in and out without trouble. But then we had a homeless man sneak in and he was going from children's room to children's room begging for food and juice. The teachers were trapped in the room with the children and couldn't send for help. After that we had to keep the doors to the wing closed and locked with a check in/check out system for the children. This was to protect the children and teachers but also to make sure we were handing out children to authorized parents and not just anybody in case it was people you didn't already know. We just had Active Shooter Training in our church! In our church! Never saw that coming. But today we have people coming to church with the intent to kill others. A security team patrolling the church during services! Never thought that would be something I'd see in church. And, then there are congregants that are ready to sue the church if something goes wrong. I never thought I'd see that either. But I've seen it and was shocked and now parents have to sign waivers and many activities had to be stopped because the church cannot take the liability if someone breaks an arm on an overnight camping trip or eats too much candy on a trip to a theme park. I am no supporter of RHB or his ministries. And, I agree, I would not think this is necessary but I will withhold judgment for now because I've already witnessed so much I never thought I'd see in church and I understand the necessity of it now after witnessing stuff in our own church.

The sign says Revival Ministries so the church has to abide by the rules of the establishment they are renting the space from.
