Awesome video! Man-o-man, demo derby isn't what it used to be. Like a professional sport now. That is serious prep work. And what an awesome yank tank to start with! Have to say seeing Jace in there welding all day is impressive in the context of usually kids that are big into school stick and ball sports aren't interested in wrenching on cars in the shop. Then Graydon lawn mower racing! He is a chip off the old block. Yes that's a compliment! This brings hope that good old fashioned fun and values still exist. The 3 boys and Gracie will grow up to be successful in whatever they do because of how they are being raised. Peace.

If it’s standing up greater than 45 degrees, it’s vertical. Vertical does not have to mean plumb but it can be plumb and vertical.

Yep. I agree as a carpenter and as someone who has built racecars. The two terms used are "downbars" and "vertical" both only reference a member that goes generally from bottom to top. If they had a rule on angle it would need to be stated, along with a reference plain.

In Montana late 70's demo was fairly simple. Take out all the glass and move gas tank inside. One year by misprint they forgot to ban unibody, so my brother and I braised evey joint except the hood.

Building stuff with your kids, passing along what you know. This is what family is about! I have some new uppity neighbors who "complained' to the town because I had 5 lawn tractors neatly parked at the end of my driveway. I fix them and sell them to offset my heating oil bills in the winter. I built a go-kart with my grandson, they complained when he drove it around the backyard. Thankfully the officer told them we weren't doing anything wrong. I hope they are enjoying the new PINK (on their side) fence. I'm retiring in 6 months I'm buying 10 acres of land in the sticks and I'M MOVING. I'm going to enjoy building things with my 5 grandsons!

Nice job on the lawn mower! Vertical is vertical. Anything in between vertical and horizontal is an incline. An example would be I'm inclined to do bad things when I'm vertical.

Seeing the boys welding actually made my day. I was raised in a very similar environment! Except there was much more yelling. Letting them get that much experience on a somewhat unimportant piece is genius. I think many of us viewers relate to you guys in the same manner as I do, that why you are so popular I also love Greggers! He’s Paul through and through We’re going to get a lot of fun with him. He won the crash up derby and now this!

About ten years ago, there was a major landslide in my rural community. It completely cut off the main road. We are a small community, and the road is private, so we didn't get any help from the county or state. Worse than that, both entities denied us permission to cut in a new road over the landslide. (We ended up putting a bridge across a river, and re-routing the main road.) For three years, we relied on an ATV trail that we created across that landslide. For 3 years, I drove a riding lawnmower up and down the mountain, across that ATV trail. Riding lawnmowers for the win!!!
