Unfortunately they removed some fun things in this. Like the cleaning bucket you could stumble over in the hallways (a real fun jumpscare in my opinion) or the atmospheric weather sounds (you have to be hugging the walls now to hear the thunderstorm outside). Small stuff like this. And you have to enter these "locked screens" when interacting with key objects. Small stuff. But I think it all made the experience in the original better. The strength of the remake: The final chapter is no unfair buggy mess anymore. But I really prefer the original - I sound so petty. :D It is more polished now but also more... safe. I agree that the original is really scary. Because it is not so clean. It is has a gritty asian horror atmosphere. The remake has less of it in my opinion.

It's really fun to see Bawk play a game that he hasn't played before. This game was fun when I originally watched it like... years ago. Also to the whole sub vs dub thing Bawk said... Honestly, I think everything should have dual audio. English and Japanese or whatever the Original language is. That way it's just up to preference. I usually play in English if given the option and if a game is sub only or something I still play it. At least, if I really like the series it's from.

Fun fact: In the original game, if you looked through a window, you'd see a vast rocky desert outside the school, which was hella funny. Imagine a korean highschool in the middle of some huge desert 🤣 The remake fixed this by adding a proper cityscape outside. One of the things the remake did better

i grabbed the platinum for this game, was a great long experience, had to finish every difficulty and get every ending. 5 endings and 6 difficulties lol.

One of my all-time favorite horror games. I love the difficulty in it on Hell mode, but that's just me. The game should always be played with the Korean dialogue as well... it is definitely VERY well done in later scenes of the game.
