I have one 👍 It takes less Watts on 235V. Mine takes about 240W at 200Mhz and 280W at 225Mhz.

It only has 5GB of VRAM. While that will be okay on ETC for about 5 years, it will stop working on most other ETHASH coins in about 2-3 years. With a 7K price tag, GPU's will still outshine long term.

Agreed. GPUs can mine multiple coins whereas this can only do ethash which when wth goes pos ETC hashrates gonna get destroyed by all the asics.

Depends how much though will need to pump twice as high for a GPU then this to get profitable. Not defending it just trying to mention GPUs arnt gonna be a simple swap after ETH they will be unprofitable period on anything until enough miners quit.

Jasminer X4 1U-C is designed to mine ETH and ETC. However, as it only has 5G Ram capacity, it could only mine ETH till around June 2022 before ETH DAG file size go above 5G. The good thing about this miner is that it can switch to mine ETC afterward, which is also very profitable option. Would be nice to monitor ETH hashrate when these can no longer mine ETH.

true currently it looks like 5g on ETH is AUG 13th and we could see the Merge happen around that point so might not be a issue at all if the merge gets delayed a bit then early ETC which is still very profitable for this thing.

I only see this beating GPUs in terms of efficiency. You can currently buy more hash per dollar at retail with GPUs and you'll have much more versatility down the road. What if RVN, ERGO, FLUX, or some other coin is the next mega profitable coin and ETC profitability just goes away? Don't get me wrong, I hope ETC is the one because we're all already set up to mine it. I do like the efficiency of these units, I just think it's a little late.

Would like to see if you can take a look at the X4 Brick version of this device. I am a little power bound at the house, so the X4 Brick would be quieter and easier to power (possibly off solar). ROI at current price of ETC and the Miner is 800 Days. Am I wrong on that? This product suffers the same problems of other ASICS and that they are currency dependent. I am still very interested in this but it is hard to drop almost $7,000 on a device that may never pay for itself and has no resale value outside of mining.

ya that's correct definably currency related if ETC fails then so will the miner but I find it interesting that there are a bunch of ETC miners being released almost as if something is going on we have no idea about. Once ETH is gone GPU Mining ROI use to be like 3-6 months now people cant get there heads around anything with 1y ROI well after ETH expect at least 1-5 years on anything with GPUs being probably the longest. Just the hard truth that we got to realize.

Yea makes not a lot of sense at $7k +. However, the efficiency is amazing. $7k can get you all the hardware you need plus 18qty 6600's and have resell value after payoff.

So right now this thing makes 12$. When ETH goes POS and 60% of its hashrate goes to ETC bc its ASICS, ETC's Hashrate would go from 25Th/s to 625Th/s. So x25 increasement. This results in 0.5$/day. Could be twice as much, could be half of it. So lets take .5 as an average. With a warranty of 180 days and ROI of then 13.200 minus the days that shave of now that thing for sure is great.

Few factors went threw it a lot in live streams yt doesn't give enough room to write the full story lol sum up I guess asics were gonna get removed from eth but research the devs said removing asics wouldn't really do anything to the hashrate Nvidia sales numbers matchs hashrate from 2020 to 2021 farms bought pallets and pallets of gpus which led to LHR and CMP cards again CMP sold to more farms by the millions then when the LHR unlock came we were around 80 to 90% unlocked already and the complete hashrate on eth went up 10% which would need 100% lhr cards to move up that much which we know eth has asics so drop a few % but overall there but even att only 50% that's still more then enough to kill the top 20 coins at the same time and sadly there is atleast 70% in gpu hashrate is the fast version to sum it up. We gotta face the hard truth GPUs will not be the same after ETH is gone. 5 year roi will be good if you can even get profits depending on how many miners quit which is a number we can't predict cause everyone seems to think they can simply swap coins. Sadly it's not that easy.

5Gb of memory doesn't seem to be that great IMHO. Dag files are based on the block chain if im correct and I might not be. Dag files are also made bigger by transaction and work being done? Right so my thought it with all the eth hashrate comming over isn't that going to speed up the dag generation? If im so wrong please kindly explain it to me.

Dag increases every x amount of blocks found as hash moves in or out the difficulty moves up and down to keep block times the same. As hash comes in will find a few fast blocks then it gets corrected and vice versa as hash leaves few blocks take longer then it corrects overall the end date will keep changing till it hits 5gb but will be close

Id rather have less efficient GPUs that can mine virtually anything and can be sold at the end than efficient paper weight in 3 years miner that does only one (two for few months) coin that may not be profitable after ETH POS

Yes but when eth is gone the hashrate coming in will jump that difficulty so high no gpu coin will be profitable until at least 2025s bear run unless most miners shut down. It's a hard truth but it's coming. Don't expect any of those numbers to look like that when ETH leaves.

@@RabidMining 225. It's difficult with the cleaning cause when I clean them I need to shut them all down for 10 hours. At now rate of eth I make 544 dollars per day. Electricity is on solar panels. So no cost of electricity.

Personally, I am looking to get one of the cheaper ones for the semi truck. I'm having vibration issues with a GPU mounted directly to the motherboard while rolling. I believe risers might solve that issue. But a Jasminer would be so simple. I had no issues mining through my tablets internet connection to my pc, but I'm mostly near metropolitan areas. No big west mountain driving.

It's nice such a miner, but i would neven only have asic miners. Would always keep GPU's. GPU's you can swap to way more coins and will have value if the market is really low. I know about this miner and was thinking about it, but only 5gb ram and very expensive is a big downside. Efficiency wise it's unmatched though!

They are closish to the RPM tested power consumption, but as said, my unit is consuming 568W from the wall, not 260-310W range.

@200MHz doing 500-510W as well. temps are lowish. PSU is supposedly only 300W, at least shown on review units. At the very least i have lost the silicon lottery with this unit. Got to wait a few hours for average hashrate to settle. power meter KWh reading reset as well when DAG finished to get average power consumption over longer time period. Regardless, 303W @ 225Mhz / 800MH/s is not going to happen. Not even at 520MH/s. Not even close.
