Wow! The must have some great irrigation and fertilizing schedule. I love the mix of purple fountain grass, dahlias, step down with the salvia, and then we see begonias and supertunias! By the entrance the cannas and elephant ears are on show. What a beautiful display that will last until frost! I wonder if they dig up and save the tubers or buy new annually?

An amazing team of gardeners is out there a few times a week deadheading and making sure everything is upright! Lots of metal stakes and twine

@@BotanicAlley Thank you for sharing, the gardens are amazing. Could you share what type of metal stake is used and how many tubers are planted near each? (i.e. fence post, rebar, etc.). This garden has truly inspired me to up my game for next year. :-)

@WanderingCreekAcres They are the green steel T-posts with anchor plates from Home Depot; the 3 different sizes of stakes for each dahlia that grows more than 3 ft. Not cheap but using them now at 5 different locations for 6 years. All are removed and rinsed and stored outside for the winter. They cost like $6, $7, and $8 for small medium and long. Found in the fencing isle. The number of stakes per plant depends on how big they get. A short one may only need one, where a tall one might need four. Hope this helps!
