Guard attribute is just the same effect as if it was blocking normally. It doesn't trigger parry effects and normal rules apply otherwise -- you still take damage from magic attacks (albeit reduced IIRC), you take some break damage (but less than if you were hit normally or soul shielded), unblockables still hit you, status effects still go through, but all other damage is fully negated. You can combine it with Sage 250 to become immune to all non-unblockable or status damage, though since you're using Invincible it might be overkill (nice against some really aggressive bosses though, Gilgamesh shreds through Knightbringer quickly).

@@cavsfightingroom3692 Invincible (Lightbringer + Knight 400%) depletes upon taking damage, and more so in the latest patch. So guarding helps keep it active for longer.

This build is the best for newer players or players struggling to climb floors. It's easy to fall in love with it too. The challenge is getting good passives on RNG equipments. However I look forward to finally finishing this build. Right now, Breaker build has taken me from floor 24 to 80 at the moment. I only stopped temporarily because of God of War Ragnarok. But rest assured I am going to finish the last 20 floors with this new Swordsman build! Thank you bro! You awesome for helping us out with your videos!

You can use "action ability mp cost -%" on your gear to decrease cost of spinning slash (rush assault). Smithy can craft and enchance this mod. It helps till you get "spinning slash mp ability cost -%" mod.

I'm currently using physical version of this build. As u mentioned some random bosses are pain, bcs increased physical defence. As for the "guard" effect on spins - I think it's straight forward "block". May be a bit improved, but rules are the same - u lose stamina on any hit, block physical and take reduced magic dmg, I used berserker affinity to compensate it

I'm a bit late thanks a lot for your videos. I have to say the base game and the DLCs are completely different games. End-game builds with DLCs are completely busted / overpowered, with crazy mechanics while the first playtrough's mostly about choosing between using commands and being out of MP OR using abilities xD

I just simply do not get this game at all. I spend hours making myself as close to your build as possible, which is not really that easy given how rarely you get the right affinities. Whatever. I try my best. Set all my stats like yours. Abilities like yours. I level to 150 which is the max it lets me. I'm on rift level 25, nothing close to 100. I get a rift that's just like... kill some monsters. Okay cool. Literally get one-shot by everything. Maybe 2 shot. Can barely move before I'm already dead. I don't get what they expect from me in this game.

I found sage to be a good class to start with since it gives you most magic and healing, i like to max break damage and spam boost magjc plus seal of blood and then cast ultima, usually takes them down to second phase on like 2 casts

I am clearly doing something wrong. I have the right affinities and stats on my gear. But when I do my swinging slash, even though I put on light bringer, and I have conqueror and the knight affinity at 600% I get killed. What’s the rotation here? The video doesn’t explain the order I am supposed to do stuff. I don’t get chain canceling, and I really despise it. Am I supposed to chain cancel as tyrant until I get my MP bar all the way up, go into light bringer as a tyrant, then just Rush assault as a swordsman until everything is dead? Is there any point in a fight when I am supposed to go back to tyrant? I notice my lightbringer and MP bars still go down in the fight and I am having to kite stuff until I get enough MP again. are my gear stats not high enough? All my affinities are right according to the video…

Nice!! I m pairing tyrant with DK at the moment, then with a katana to do flashy combo with an action ability MP recovery. Just trying to get a higher dmg/break DMG though. Welcome any advice if Ur having idea on Ur next build too. Thanks dude for all the build vid 👍

Hey man, how do you raise your evocation/ultima affinity? I see that all your equipment + weapon has been added to a total % but in my case only the weapon decides how much % I get even if the equipment has ultima and evocation bonuses. So confused

When you find gear with affinity they will apply that bonus if the have the ultimate or evocation logo in the corner icon.

I think guard atribute mean you get the guard effect while spinning (holding L1), if it does then only red move/unblockable attack can hit you since on lightbringer you have unlimited break gauge (blocking will drain break gauge) Does the footage using monster feed buff? Great find, but probably they will nerf the guard attribute later, I will copy this build later on the next dlc if they dont touch it lol Edit: wait I might be confusing the guard button on other game lol, does this game have block aside from soul shield, I forgot lmao

Does 600% breaker strength stack on soul shield work when you activate soul shield on another job (on lunarian with cyclic warrior 600%)? Shouldn't you soul shield as a conqueror?

I think this builds needs an update. When I use LB on the tyrant job the LB doesn’t activate the knights stats on the conqueror class any more. Now it seems that you have to have the knight job affinity on both main jobs now.

Conqueror 600% probably works with spinning slash. At least enchants on combo abilities from job tree as increased attack speed after r1>r1>r1>(ability) works with spinning slash.

Yes both job need to have bahamut blessing if you want to carry over the stat increase to other job (cmiiw)

@@m1rasantika I am sure it's carry over. The stacks 20 icon was there when we switch job. The bahamut icon is only for the soul shield effect. This is same scenario with breaker 400 effect icon which can be carried over when you switch job

@@sirsamnaske i just read from the spreadsheet that someone made, but idk, which one is true lol This is what is stated on the spreadhseet A successful soul shield increases Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intellect, Spirit, and Luck by 1 each stack. Can build up to 20 stacks. Stats do not appear on the UI. Does not appear to benefit the player when on a job without Bahamut's Blessing, but will go back into effect upon switching to the Bahamut blessed job. Bug/Feature: Adding or removing a piece of Bahamut gear will prevent the player from gaining additional stacks of this blessing until touching the cubes, even if the player is still wearing Bahamut on other pieces.

@@m1rasantika well, I also do a lot of test of this with and without bahamut. You can try to change your first job blessings to other like Odin, ifrit or Alexander. The are not much different. The Alexander & ifrit can make more damage

You can feed monsters with anything. Strength or intellect or stamina as all of them will help

How did you get that MP regen on hit ? i tried the lancet/mighty strike combo but it doesn't work on ability. was it nerfed ? am i missing something ? when i normal attack it works. when I spin, nothing. no hp or mp regen

@@ShanaSama26 Probably too late but I just tried it on Xbox and leeched MP just fine. Maybe there are some enemies that mighty strikes doesn't cause a weakness on? Not sure. Tried it on a Lufenian difficulty stage without extra mode on, and rift floor 21 without extra mode and it worked for both.

How to get so high bonuses on gear ? I can't get past 20th floor or so with MP reduction only 14% average on mine ? MP depletes too fast even with other abilities and lightbrigner don't last long enough for bosses

If you reached floor 20 its already very good. If ur mp is running out then now I suggest farming for gear outside of the labyrinth. Push ur dragon trails up and farm bosses that way. You will get better gear that way

@@ShevchenkodaMaroba on tyrant make sure you get all soul burst and soul shield mp recovery. Increase mp limit boost rate and buff duration. Then just get some luck and intellect
