I would like to take a moment to appreciate how they don't allow us to mix and match powers like with Build, OOO, Geats, etc... While some might consider this a downside, it allows them to limit the number of forms and make each form more unique than a random OOO combo.

of course it wont get allowed the series focuses on alchemy, emotions and the chemy are literal living beings. so their compatibility is extremely limited. the pros and cons to this is that they can sell so many cards however its not as fun as ooo, build or w in the matter of letting you mixed and match

Geats was peak mix and match, build is close but the playability/fidget toy feel of the raise buckles and the ability to make your own ID Core without messing up the henshin in any way is just super cool

EXACTLY! thats a good point, gotcha driver has a lot to show in future, desire driver its getting limited of sounds because of the less items we can get, 2 or 3 buckles just can unblock less sounds than the gotcha can, even if we can´t just buy lots of items from japan to USA or in my case, Mexico. thats too expensive, gotcha driver is going to be my first driver and im exited to have it in my colection, lots of cards with out taking big space in my desk

Got mine and I will say I do like how different in size it is to the desire driver. the Desire Driver is a tame size, while the gotchard driver is a big ol brick. a satisfying big ol brick

The driver is thicker than expected. Also, it reminds people of ghost driver because there’s not a whole lot of playability and it gets repetitive. It’s the 5th reiwa era rider, so there could be more surprise. They haven’t change the main driver in favor of a new driver for a while.

The closest thing I can see to "Mix and Match" forms is maybe recolors if you happen to put in cards that have the same helmet style on the back. Of course that is if some of the cards share the same helmet designs.

It's the plain, boxy nature of the belt that bothers me personally. It's like a giant ugly slab tablet or something. It's not a huge deal to me tho, even if I'm not a big fan of the belt itself, I love the suit, so it kinda evens out. It's kinda the opposite of Zero One where I dug the belt, but wasn't a huge fan of the neon yellow on the suit.

I think the biggest letdown is simply it requires 2 cards but doesnt allow satisfying mix n match. Even when OOO and Build had trial forms, it still looked correct and was possible in the show. Here, it makes it exceedingly clear youre doing something wrong when you mix n match.

Honestly. I love this belt. It's literally a W Driver and Build Driver type deal but with more sounds and combos. I understand the Desire Driver was an S tier belt but Im confused on why older belts dont get as much flack as the Gotchardriver. Personally, I think the Gotchardriver is way better than the Zero-One or Revice Drivers. It feels very futuristic and slick in design akin to the Vision Driver. The face card gimmick and lights are honestly my favorite part of it I think it's so clever and adds a bit more flavor and I think its what makes it better than the Build and W Drivers to me. Cant wait to see the attachments.

Like you said, it's a retread of something both the W and Build drivers did better. They're more interesting, come with the stuff needed to actually make the forms on the box, and aren't making you pull for the bottles or memories. In terms of playability it's literally just a square you push two cards in and it makes a noise. All the actual work went into the cards. And you can't even sleeve the cards up to protect them while you use them on top of them sticking out of the driver.

@@Nocturne989 I don't think the W and Build Drivers did it better at all. The W Driver especially. The W Driver is just visually boring. It's red and really out of place with the gimmicks, if I'm being honest even if it's still a good belt. In fact- if you try using any Memory that isn't the ones W used in show in that belt and it immediately crumbles apart (thereby removing A LOT of playability). The T2 Memories are wonky on it, the Dopant Memories are wonky on it, they had to make a Kamen Rider Joker version of the Joker Memory because it timed wrong if you used the one that came with the W Driver on the Lost Driver. The Build Driver just has the classic rail system issue of something having issues reading things. The Gotchardriver's lights and helmet matching gimmick is WAY more fun than what those two had to offer. There's a sense that you're actually merging the cards into a combo. Design-wise, I disagree on it being 'just a square'. Again, to me it's like the Vision Driver. It's very slick and doesn't stick out a lot like previous belts where gimmicks made it the width of a person (hyperbole here but still). In every sense of the word, the Gotchardriver is an improvement over those two. You don't HAVE to pull the cards. All of the roleplay toys come with them, which is something Build also did. Are there SOME you can't get? Sure. But you don't have to buy the packs to get cards. That aside- every card pack box garantees you a Parallel and a Level 10 card. All of them do that. And these are CARDS, a box of packs literally costs the same as a singular Vistamp; you get about 5 combos for that price. It's insane. As someone who has bought said box, I'm very satisfied with how they're handling things so far. Card sleeving issues isn't new. Decade had the same problem. I admit this is a bigger issue but so far, the driver hasn't scratched my cards so I'm fine with this problem too. I just put them back in the sleeves afterwards. They only stick out the driver because people push the things on the side too hard when doing a finisher, which is how the belt removes the cards. If you just push enough to trigger the finisher they don't pop out and even when they do it's so negligeable. The belt still reads them and it's not like they're shot out. The Gotchardriver isn't perfect by any means and the criticism is valid but it feels like people are looking way too hard into these issues when the past belts have had similar problems and yet are overlooked.

Easiest way to describe it is that past drivers have more "seeable" moving parts. Gotchard driver looks aesthically pleasing, but it doesn't "feel" or "sound" as satisfying because the user isn't doing much on top of the driver itself, not doing much. W driver "feels" like you're doing something because doing the gimmick has the driver visual change into a new position similar thing with other drivers mentioned in this thread. Even saber feels like you are doing alot because of the moving parts of the books along with the sword
