A tip I have if you're just wanting. Asmooth ride through Kingdom Hearts BBS, just make sure to level up at least 4-5 levels every world so that way you dont get stomped by the level curve. I always play on critical, and this grinding strat is what i use every time. I make sure to grind d-links and commands during the grind session to keep my mind focused on that so it dont get boring, and before i know it, I'll be leveled up and ready for to move on.

I grind like crazy in castle of dreams and usually dont leave until im level 30 lol. The melding system makes it so easy to break the game wide open even early on.

Fun fact: You defeated the NERFED version of mysterious figure. In the original release on PSP, the move where he jumps up and stabs you with a whip had a 90% chance of killing you outright because it could not be dashed out of and the way it slams you on the ground gets rid of second chance/once more. It takes long enough for your character to recover from that depending on what the boss decides to do next, it could kill you before you have a chance to do anything

About Sora being able to wield the Keyblade: Not confirmed by any sources I could find, but the most logical theory I have heard is when Ventus received part of Sora's heart at the start of BBS, Ventus' heart gave Sora the ability to wield the Keyblade, as Ventus himself is technically the X-blade.

The hearts inside him allow him to weild other keyblades, not the original keyblade he got. He was literally the next closest heart to Riku that hadn't succumbed to darkness. Riku says so in KH1. Thats literally it. The Kingdom Key chose to be Sora's later on. ​@ItzSweetTrav

Wrong, he got the keyblade from Riku, it's stated in KH1. Riku was supposed to inherit the keyblade but fell to darkness so the keyblade passed to Sora instead. In KH1 Riku says "So Maleficent was right, you were just the delivery boy" and the scene in BBS is supposed to reaffirm that

@ tbh for me I just practiced for a bit to learn when I was supposed to press the button and once it clicked everything got really easy. Really focus on listening to the claps rather than the music and it’ll change everything for you.

For plat I usually just do 2 different playthroughs. One on crit for the secret episode and final episode, and do all the grinding on beginner. It definitely feels way less stressful and MF is a little easier on beginner since not every move brings you to 1hp.

I 100% the original PSP version and then the PS3 version. After putting literally hundreds of hours in this game getting it again on PS4 was tedious but much more efficient. The trick was playing all the stories at once and swap with different completion tasks to keep myself from getting bored.

It was well worth it, a big help for me when I got frustrated by the ice cream stuff was to just walk away for 10 or so minutes and come back. Definitely made that challenge not as painful and then once you figure it out I’m sure it’ll be quick and easy.

The Vanitas sentiment is one of the most poorly coded bosses in kingdom hearts I've ever fought. He can two-tap you, blind you, darts around the battlefield like he's hopped up on every substance known to man, and doesn't stagger. In what world is that a balanced fight? Especially when our movement options are severely limited because it's a ported PSP game.

And his teleport counter too, it usually triggers after 4 hits, but sometimes not. That counter is shockingly easy to abuse and cheese him with, but it jut deciding to break its own rules is unforgivable

Btw, the reason why Sora was able to use a keyblade was because he accidentally came into contact w/ Riku’s heart at the beginning of KH1. It’s the reason why he was able to wield the Kingdom Key even though that keyblade was meant to go to Riku.

I know KH was brutal when it comes to allowing players to view secret ending but not when it comes to platinum. But not as awful as DDD I guess. I haven't played it on the 2.8 yet to verify this. My experience with DDD for 3ds was just boring grinding when it comes to Dream eaters.

I’m doing DDD next so it’ll be interesting to see, 3D/MoM are the only games I’ve never played so who knows how I’ll feel about them. Just happy they’re both only about 50 hours compared to the 100 for 1-3+BBS/Re:CoM.

This one is moreso thanks to the Theater Mode; it lists Beast’s Castle before The Land of Dragons. The Battle Levels say otherwise: the former is at 13/36; the latter is at 10/35. Same can be said for the second visits of Olympus Coliseum and Port Royal; the first visits are 16 and 20. Second ones are 39 and 37 respectively, and what’s more the former requires BC/LoD to be completed, the latter is available immediately after the 1K Heartless.

Yes but it’s actually not the best weapon in the game, you get it after defeating one of the later arena battles but once you beat the final arena boss you get Royal Radiance, which I was using at the end.

Funny. I just completed BbS for the third time three weeks ago, and I'm currently aiming for the platinum of re: CoM... on PS3, meaning being the game in each difficulty with both characters. I already have the platinums on PS4, I just wanted to replace my PS3 collections with the Japanese versions for the controls before going for completion. Started with BbS because it's the game I like the least of all four playable games. Congrats for the platinum!

Birth By Sleep is a very fun game but Terra is horrible. He is far too slow and horrible with magic as well as movement. He's incredibly dumb too getting fooled by every villain. Terra thought Maleficent might be good even though mal means bad/evil. He's also the first character one is supposed to play as. The Exp Walker can be gotten far too early & is incredibly broken too for such an early ability

Dude... people calling Terra azz is them having a skill issue. He's my best character in this game. Hitting things as hard as I can brings me joy. If you want the worst in this game, gameplay wise. Aqua. Way too reliant on Magic. Outside of the Super Bosses, the only magic someone needs to finish the game is the Cure line.

It's really funny because Terra benefits the most from Zero Gravity and Magnet, gets the Ventus D-Link to speed through fights AND he has Strength and Magic. Not to mention all his exclusive Commands are actually worth using. His only downside is that he has no lunge attack in his regular Combo, other than that, he's literally superior to the other two characters lol
