No song brings me back to being a child in the backseat while my mom drove around running errands in the early 2000's. It's *so* rare for a song to bring me back to such a *specific* moment in time.

Finally know what this song means. I’m 47 years old and have had a friend for the past 25 years. She is a beautiful woman and we were strictly good friends(as in no benefits). We’ve both gone thru marriage and all the things that life brings peoples way. About a month or so ago we both had a few days free time and invited her to visit Texas together. We both live in different states and noticed we were talking on a deeper level than we ever had....to make a long story longer lol. We arrived at airport an hour or so apart....saw each other & shared the most fantastic kiss ever and had the best 4 day stretch of my life. We are planning to move back in May when her lease expires and be together. She is the ONE. Crazy because she’d always been in front of me and never imagined that I’d ever find love.

Vi Haze thank you and you are young and have plenty of time!!! A quick update is I already transferred my job to Texas and have been here since the start of this pandemic basically. Things are still going great and I’m just waiting for the end of June to get here.....her lease expires and I’ll take a fews off work to get her and bring her here. this true happiness still seems foreign to me and it’s scary, I know that sounds dumb but it’s how I feel. I wish you the best of luck!!!

They don’t write country music like this anymore. The harmonies, the key changes, the subtly to the lead guitar chiming in on the cadences.

The single most overplayed song of the 90's! Plus, it's not really a song per se, more like an atonal country rap or something. Does Faith actually hit a single note at any time throughout the entire piece? Terrible!
@etherreal43932 жыл бұрын
@@theexile6605 can anyone be said to have bad taste in music when such a thing is purely based on opinion? Sure! You surely have bad taste commenting here while also hating the song and having clicked it. I'm also a year late, but the message isn't time based, i just wanted to say that, so yup 😉
@theexile66052 жыл бұрын
@@etherreal4393 Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to comment on a "song" that I don't like, but this piece was so ubiquitous in public places that it always got on my nerves. And while I do like country music in general, I must reiterate that this is far from one of the best of that genre. I even have nothing against Faith Hill as a singer, but only someone with no musical ear whatsoever could think this is a great piece of music. You make it sound as if I just trashed Beethoven's 9th Symphony!! I would also estimate that you are hardly a music historian, though you seem to be alright on the whole. You are correct that there is such a thing as good taste and bad taste, but an example of bad taste would be saying that the Burger King down the street is a far more beautiful building than the Taj Mahal. I did not say that. As for hitting an actual note, maybe check out Ariana Grande's "One last time" if you want to hear a singer actually doing that. Cheers.

AS A MATTER OF INTEREST -, the lyrics to this playfully literate song were written by Beth Nielsen Chapman (although the music was co-written by Robin Lerner and Annie Roboff). Beth has also written NUMEROUS other "hit" songs. She spent her teen years living in Alabama -, and as of 1999, she was honored with the "Distinguished Songwriter Award" from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Tho this song would mostly appeal to the ladies, I always enjoyed it as the background melody, music and even the singing is so positive from start to finish- it leaves you feeling uplifted...and ‘98 had that rejuvenating feel for me after a crappy ‘97, and so this song stuck with me...that’s what I loved about songs back then - they were alive and you could feel the emotions in them- not like today’s factory manufactured AI/drone/zombie music...

God i looked up centrifugal motion and got this _ Fictitious force, peculiar to circular motion, that is equal but opposite to the centripetal force that keeps a particle on a circular path (see centripetal acceleration). For example, a stone attached to a string and whirling in a horizontal circular path is accelerated toward the centre of its path by the tension in the string, the only force acting on the string.

The first time I heard this song I was in Las Vegas with my ex girlfriend (first girl I fell in love with, and probably last), in front of the Bellagio hotel's water fountain lake show (happens every 10-15 minutes). As the water rocket show ensued, and the water was shooting up in the air trying to touch the sky, we kissed each other, while this song was playing in the background... I was the happiest man alive at that moment. This was in 2009. Fast forward to 2011, my ex made new friends at her work and started comparing my wealth to other men's wealth. I couldn't take it anymore and broke up with her, as I will not let myself belittled. Recently I heard from acquaintences that she is in Vegas again, like, right now as we speak, and that's why I'm listening to this song right now. Karma is a bitch though, and I hope she never is happy for the rest of her life. (Speaking of Karma, I am a millionaire, but she doesn't know, and I never ever want her to)
