I used to love on the N64 games how you could reverse a punch into a Rock Bottom or a kick into the Stunner. It is indeed crazy that over all the years, they never developed finisher-to-finisher reversals. I love how, as janky and bootleg as this game is, it still has one or two things that 2K could learn from it.

Developer Notes: The AI moods aren't difficulties as such, they're just different approaches that the AI will take. If you play against Curtis Angel on efficient as Ragnabrok or Iceberg, he'll probably spend a lot of time working your legs because that's Curtis's META tactic for wrestling a brute, where as switching it to Unpredictable... he'll pick moves at random. RAO's out of nowhere. There's about 30 RAO animations in the game. For example, you can do them out the corner, running RAO, from behind, if an opponent is running at you and from just about any finishing move in the game. Different Versions of Finishers. As well as being able to do finisher reversals, each finisher has a Power version (L2 + Triangle) and a Tired Version where they'll hit the move then struggle to get up after. Whip the opponent into the ropes then hold L2 and tap Triangle to see Andy Organ throw the opponent in the air and catch him with the RAO, etc. (Andy also has the Career Killer... kick... from the head btw) The reason Gregg Hearty received his special after the taunt at 11:33, is because he used the babyface taunt. It's a one time thing, that lets you instantly get your finishing move. Some wrestling matches like Brock vs Undertaker, start with a finishing move and that's not something most games allow you to do. In 5 Star, babyface wrestlers can cash the token in for max momentum, where as heels can perform illegal moves like eye pokes and low blows. It's done by clicking in the R3. (if memory serves) I loved watching this vid.

If you think about it 2K could definitely do the finisher reversal into another finisher thing by just doing it for a select few superstars. Like with the catch finishers. Only a select few had that ability because of the nature of their finishers

You ask why they haven't been sued? I looked it up and based on the little information I gathered, these game developers cannot be sued because they are legally allowed to parody these wrestlers just as long as it's not done with malicious intent as to defame the said Characters/personalities like Randy Orton or Kurt Angle. And from the looks of it, they didn't defame these superstars at all, if anything the game developers elevated them. Also their disclaimer states their overall intent which also helps. Besides, I doubt that these game developers even made enough money off this game that the WWE, or any wrestler being parodied would consider them to be a financial threat.
