Make a new video that’s researched and not horribly insensitive and mocking of an artist who is open about every part of his ART, he makes his music and his videos, all processing trauma responses of DID & battles with Bipolar Disorder. Half your video is mocking his alters that a 60 second google could have answered for you. To the fans, it’s sounds like the most poorly researched video. I don’t know how not a single person saw this before posting and didn’t say, hmm maybe we should watch ANY REAL INTERVIEW where he openly talks about everything being woven into every detail. I’m sure you’ll dismiss me, like you did Christian. But you clearly don’t like or have empathy for people with mental health challenges and severe trauma. Making his art is how he lives. He said Mr. Insanity only comes out in life or death situations. In Don't go insane we see Mr. Insanity in his true form at the bridge, when the lyrics say "Can't see" Ian is referring to those times he's switched and blacked out as Mr. Insanity. From what I understand, most of the time Mr. Insanity is just co-fronting, but I could be wrong.

Oh I'm so excited to see this. Other than the music, I really enjoy how DPR (whole team) does their MVs. I hope you explore more of them on the channel, especially DPR Ian. He seems to favor playing with color grading and landscapes, a lot of abstract. But that makes sense as that is a fair depiction of the mindscape. I'd really like your perspective on their catalogue in general. There is a MITO version of this MV as well.

@@silver5trike746 Isn’t he supposed to be doing this as his literal profession he claims to be in? Editing videos. You believe this is a “record and immediately hit the post button” situation? After the video, while he was doing this “amazing job of editing” there was zero to stop him from researching and throwing a couple of new edited scenes to either avoid the insensitive comments altogether, or could VERY easily make it look like a smooth self correction, or even make himself look brilliant, like he guessed it all in real time. Who would hire this dude to edit videos as a profession, if doesn’t actually take the time to properly edit the videos he works on? There are a bunch of steps that happened waaaay before hitting many buttons within KZbin, BEFORE it ever gets posted. My statements still remain as is. Before posting the final version of this video, anyone with any rational thinking, with a big channel, and cares about the work they put out and the people they feature… they or someone on their team, does a little bit of google and KZbin watching. Which yes, he clearly half effort, did make the most unflattering video of Christian that he possibly could. As someone adjacent to the industry, I’m a photographer and former dancer and singer in my 20s. He clearly just didn’t respect or care enough to post in a way that made Christian’s work sound more than a gimmick. Or just part of the “k wave” Everything about this video yells, “I don’t like or respect Christian as an artist” All this video was, is an editor making a sour video about another editor he’s intimidated by or feels some way about. Objectively, the quality and detail of Christian’s work, is significantly better and absolutely more creative and meaningful on so many missed levels. He managed to clip in the most cringe and not respectful representations of KZbin videos he could have found. When you just type DPR Ian into KZbin or google, waaaaay more recent interviews, IG lives, tons of stuff comes up. Honestly, I think our OP editor here probably had a weird jealousy thing because Christian is making mind blowing better content that’s capturing the attention internationally. Christian does a good most of the audio and visual aspects. The whole process. Christian films & produces other big artists videos and is pretty well respected for his talents, despite his challenges. Which is what makes us who “get it”, love him more. To the OP, he can come have a chat with me if he’s so bothered by my random thoughts here. Why does he need your or anyone else to come save him? Isn’t he an adult and a “pro”? You post a video that’s disrespectful or insensitive of another artist AND their fanbase…one should either be ready for the fanbase to heavily critique obviously lazy efforts/lack of caring/misplaced envy, or don’t make moves that appear to lack proper thought. If he doesn’t want “react comments” like mine, dont do “react videos” and then not edit them well. Do proper research before you post your “amazing edited videos” That’s kind of irresponsible to post things blindly about people you don’t research. The entire point of the song and the video, is exploring he inside of his mind with his alters, and speaks of his interactions with them and the interactions with the outside world. It’s part of why it’s called “the other side” 🙄

@@AscherC I actually 100% agree with you and I am also a big fan of DPR IAN and the DPR family as a whole, but I felt that I should have maybe given him a bit of leeway if that's the right word? I'm the kind of person who listens to a person's discography and practically memories every song before even being able to remember details about an artist because that's something I struggle with so I feel like I should maybe be more forgiving to those who get details wrong when they're a new listener even though some of those details should have been known. I've been a fan of DPR IAN since the tail end of COVID, but I only was able to remember the details regarding MITO and Mr Insanity around October last year because I am really bad with these details despite my making efforts to learn. Similarly, whilst I'm not an editor or even adjacent to the field (I'm actually a student in a completely different field), I am a writer and I hold the philosophy that the absence of refinement and sophistication (or literary techniques in the world of writing) is a technique in and of itself. I don't know if you have the hardware store Bunnings near you, but the rough and "warehouse" feel serves to make customers more comfortable and tricks them into believing that they are saving money by saving in a place that is more familiar and comfortable. I'm obviously not Jordan, but I believe that he's just doing a similar thing. So while I may not feel exactly the same as you, I do agree that he should have done more research and been more thorough before posting the video (I am aware of how long it takes to edit and post a video btw). And I'm as equally annoyed about how he pronounced Mito... I have nothing to say about that...

Yeah definitely one of my favorite things that DPR IAN does is that he makes his MV MUSIC videos by including cuts or scene changes with the change in the beat or like Jordan said matching shots to certain sounds.Same with the choreo. It just makes it very dramatic/cinematic and I love it
