If you ignore the singular communist verse in this song(that rarely gets played) about abolishing private property. It's really not a communist song. Guthrie may have been a red but he was still an American at heart. I don't need to always agree with my brother to see him as such, unless of course, they are in fact trying to destroy my country within.
