I'm super happy that you mentioned that people send in their old items, or fake items after "returning" something to amazon, and that sometimes when you buy these "like new" or "refurbished" items, you receive that person's false items. I hope Amazon starts cracking the whip and starts punishing those people who do this, because it is called "theft" or "stealing" no matter how you want to reword it to justify this corrupt BS. But thank you again, for putting it out there, I have definitely fallen victim to receiving wrong items, because I do like to get the "like new" things, sometimes, they are brand new, just returned or open box. It helps recycle and keep stuff outta the dumps!

As Matt said I sent it to him and for those that keep saying "I never find them in stock", have in mind I'm not even from the US, I literally casually browsed their website for 5 minutes and found the deal lol, and as far as I'm aware I've seen it a couple more times so if you want a really good laptop for very cheap, just stay alert! And although they added 8gb of ram, just add only 4 if you're planning to do the build, just so you can get that sweet sweet Dual channel memory bandwidth that Vega igpu's love :D

You should really test sodium for minecraft on these low end machines. It uses a much more efficient rendering process and gives a huge fps boost. I'd like to see what these budget laptops can do when you let them stretch their legs!

I used to own an HP with this exact CPU and specs two years ago... I can attest that adding an additional 4gb stick does wonders for games like CSG0 and Valorant. Considering that one cost me $280 [on offer from $340] the current price [if stock is available] is compelling

Unfortunately, the m.2 slot is SATA only and not nvme as stated by gateway, it's a good-priced laptop, but on the inside there are a lot of sacrifices made to fit the price point. (I'm a gateway i5-1135g7 user btw) Really wish to see the egpu working. Also have you guys seen the bios?? There are SO MANY OPTIONS

@@mtflieutenant7693i have one of those on a dell laptop with 12 gb of ram. Best it can do on fortnite is low settings with 40-60 fps. Not great for fortnite, but i can do a 1.17.1 modpack on Minecraft with 200 mods and it runs it at 60 fps

Literally watching this vid on the laptop, It honestly great and it runs amazing. Its a beast for a 180 dollar laptop I can pretty much play whatever I was as long as its a basic game Fortnite, Gta, minecraft etc. Its also customizable 100 percent recommend this if you need a work pc but want to do some gaming on the side

I bought this same laptop with i7-1165g7 and 16 GB of Ram for $320 refurbished from Wallmart. It is basically brand new and is amazing with games! Pretty amazing how good it is for so cheap. And the screen is beautiful. By for the best budget laptop have ever seen

@@fpastra7095 im sorry. I misspoke. It has the i5-1135g7 with xe graphics and 16 GB ram. It is the gateway 14” from Walmart. If you check their website regularly you can find refurbs, which are usually just store returns and are like new. Awesome laptop

That is totally not true. That deal was found by me, someone who is literally outside of US, so if I found it in 5 minutes, what stops you or anyone else from finding this video? People have made thousand of videos on these gateway laptops and their prices have been close to the same, it doesn't fluctuate really.

@Hunter Fabio2 These channels can cause fluctuations on prices. Good for you as I am too outside the USA, a laptop of this level and price is impossible to find in the rest of the world. If I import this one, then that would be 13% Import tax as a laptop and some paperwork because it's not new... Add more RAM, and it's a decent system. As another example, take a look at the RX 560 2 GB. This channel and others with more budget oriented content and have more than 100K subs pushed this GPU so hard as the little savior for folks that didn't upgrade in 2019 their GT, GTX 660 and older or AMD equivalents. The RX 560 2 GB that was the unknown savior has increased on price...

10:09 It's normal if you don't have optifine. I have a GTX 980 with ryzen 5 1600 And without optifine it's really stuttery and I'm getting like 15 fps 1% lows So try with optifine it will definitely work

I have a 970 and my games run good, or it might just be your CPU, my CPU is i7 6770k or something like that if that's even the name, it's pretty old but you can say it's a midrange setup now, you should try tuning through your CPU/GPU program or something. Someone using that laptop should switch to Minecraft Bedrock. Minecraft Bedrock is far better optimized compared to Java edition. There is also a app on the Microsoft app store called JE2BE that allows users to convert Java saved worlds to bedrock and vice versa. Given how the game performed in Java edition on this laptop, I would expect Bedrock to achieve at least 60 FPS.

Should use optifine in minecraft, ALWAYS, it’s standart. not a little boost, optifine is a really big boost In fortnite, epic launcher, settings of fortnite, delete hd textures and play on performance mode, as a competitive player i don’t care a bit about hd textures, it’s a big improvement.
