I just woke up to hear the news that Mean Gene Okerlund passed away at 76. Along with Howard Finkel, he was one of the greatest wrestling announcers of all time, not just one of the greatest wrestling announcers, but one of the greatest announcers of all time. His death just hit me and I am so sad to hear this. But I am happy Mean Gene will be in heaven to hang out with Bobby Heenan and interview all the WWF/E/WCW superstars in heaven. I will miss him dearly #ThankyouGene (1942-2019)

Fun Fact. This game was massively delayed a few times. It was suppose to have many features such as blood, crowd fighting, arenas, and many match types. It was suppose to be a Xbox Launch title. The trailer for this game actually helped sell Xbox back then. The graphics were ridiculous in comparison to PS2. WWE Raw 2 was also delayed a few times. It was way better than the first one, however, Anchor clearly was not a talented developer.

There is no Wii version, SvR 2007 is also available on the PSP. A PS3 version was supposed to be but it was cancelled for unknown reasons (Probably either PS3's BS programming, Wrestlemania or save them for SvR 2008 )

Raw 2 vs raw 1: Raw 2 is better in many aspects... 1)in raw 2 you can't go near entrance area during match ..but in raw 1 you can go near entrance area 2)Mark Henry finisher in raw 2 is not correct 3)In raw 1 people's elbow can be done in all areas, In raw 2 people's elbow can be done only inside ring and as fixed animation 4)No victory animation... So raw 1 is better than raw 2 in some aspects

I had the sequel on the original Xbox. It wasn't much better. Only good thing about it was that you could change the costumes of the standard wrestlers - a feature not possible in wrestling games until the Xbox One & PS4 era of WWE games. It was also the first ruthless aggression era of WWE games.

I played WWE RAW Ultimate Impact like crazy when i was 6 years old,then my bigger brother downloaded a wwe '12 mod for it and it was stunning for me.(I didn't know there were the SmackDown Vs Raw games at the time.)

i played wrestling games on PlayStation the best game for me was WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain, WWE SDvsRAW 2005, WWE SDvsRAW 2006, WWE SDvsRAW 2007, WWE SDvsRAW 2009 (i've never played WWE SDvsRAW 2008 so.. :P) the wrestling games right now like WWE 2k14-15-etc etc.. are not interesting for me anymore because they change things like.. -the reversal moves: you used to have 2 buttons of reversal like if he ''punch you'' you push the R2 button, if he ''grabs you'' you push L2 button.. you have to think fast of what opponent would do to you and they should bring that the reversal moves back -submission and pinfall: if you look back on Here Comes the Pain, SvR 2005-06-07.. these submission that i want, the games right now is impossible to broke the submission if your body are all damages and if the opponent made the submission.. YOU CAN'T ESCAPE. and the pinfall i dont like they way to kick out in 2k.. i like when you just press all the buttons to kickout from pinfall XD -graphics and sounds: in my opinion they should do the graphics like ''Here Comes the Pain'' because the sound and the movement body slam and stuff is so hilarious and is really enjoyable so yea that is my thought :)
