The password was composed of 17 questions blocks. Each block has two states either hit or not-hit. That gives us a total of 2^17 or 131,702 different possible password combinations that it could be set too. Ryu got to the password section with about 25 out of 300 seconds left on the timer. That's about 4.5 minutes. If you were to try to brute force the password it would take at most 589,824 minutes to try all the of the different codes. Or to put it in other terms up to 1 year and 44 days.

What's annoying about the password levels is that the vast majority of them don't seem to include the password in the level. It would be a neat level concept if you could complete challenges to get the password, but I guess the only real advantage over a normal red-coin level is that you wouldn't have to set up recyclable checkpoints.

That first level actually kinda pisses me off lol. The boss room and the pixel jumps were annoying but you could at least beat them if you're skilled enough, but to finish it off with a password is just lame. Looks like the password was likely in the level. If you watch the beginning, you see him pass several groups of coins that are in fairly distinct shapes. Likely, if you count the number of coins in those groups, they would coincide with the password. I think that there are enough people who would put a password in a level with no hints that it's necessary to note in your comments if the password is in the level.

@@Selrisitai 110% doubt. Level was meant to be impossible. The main world was just an illusion. Sub world turned into a high-skill & high-luck gauntlet. Then a password thrown at the end to make sure even those that could’ve passed it, won’t it. Something like that is meant to throw shame against any player who plays his level. Hints? You believe that after he throws multiple pixel-perfect jumps? It’s not a standard power-up check though having power-ups helps “cheese” that section. Probably had ultra-hidden dev power-ups to make his run bearable. No reason dev has to suffer if he’s the only one that can beat it regardless.

(code doesn't work, I was going to view it myself and see the password and any other hidden garbage) I went onto the Super Expert Leaderboards to find this person's maker id, and I did. They have no courses uploaded since this video was uploaded. They took it down before I was able to expose what kind of crap was in that sub world. There could've been a star for the boss and another hidden star for the line ups. Although those line ups aren't too hard if you have 2 damage boosts like Ryu did, it's doubtful they played their own level legit. This SMM2 Viewer allows you to input a level code and then view the main and sub world as if you had SMM2 editor but with pictures to explore.

Hi I’m the creator of the stars level (not joking) and you guessed right there was a shell in those 3 blocks I originally wanted to put 1 ups but I realized 1 ups are replaced with poison mushrooms to I decided to add power ups I put a cape a Yoshi and a shellmet but then I was wondering if someone would kill themselves with a the shellmet I gave them so I added in the description please don’t kill yourself with the shell just in case someone is stupid enough to kill themselves with the shell

That first level is just pure evil. It's TECHNICALLY possible, but that password section means that if you want a 100% chance of getting past it, you gotta beat the sections prior 131,072 (2^17) times. Hell, even if you wanted a 50/50 shot, that's still 65,536 (2^16) attempts you gotta make. That's not even the worst of it, they could've put an RNG section behind that which blocks the way if a hammer bro steps one way or the other. Chain that a dozen times and the probability of beating that level is next to 0.

The dev has multiple medals including two golds (top 100 in a worldwide leaerboard if you didn't know) and a silver (top 200) so they most likely have the skill to beat the first part, and combination locks don't require any skill if you know the password. Then there's the two minute clear check time, most likely legit

How it works: if you get the star, the poison mushroom tries to run from you, going to noteblock, dropping a muncher onto the bomb, triggering the on/off block, and causing you to fall to your doom.

DGR show a tool that can make you see all the level, incuding hidden staff. i think that is the only way to clean the first level. Still can't undestand why people make level like this.

That first level’s password has 2^17 different combinations.. which is 131,072 different combos.. and no real way of knowing how close you are. That’s some bull shit lol

Because it wouldn't kill him in just one hit like the other one, and would still have to deal with the bullet hell afterwards. The only reason that one Ludwig died in one hit every time is because the shell released it from the track, and since half of his body was inside a wall, that killed him instantly.
