@@AbelStewartMusic Thanks to you, I have been able to learn and play 6 guitar/vocal songs and add them to our online worship services during this COVID crisis. Your videos have been so useful to me. Thank you so much. I look forward to watching more of your videos. I've even started your learn guitar class on youtube. This is fantastic!

Thanks. Easy explanation. What is the strumming pattern?
@AbelStewartMusic4 жыл бұрын
Good question. It's alternating between weak and strong beats, all downstrokes. So for a four count measure, 1 and 3 are weak, 2 and 4 strong, i.e. 1-2-3-4-|1-2-3-4-|... w-s-w-s-|w-s-w-s-|... Sometimes I throw in a bit of a rock/folk strum pattern that I teach in another lesson. Here's a link to that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fabIe4CYqa5ni6s I hope that helps, and please let me know if I can help with anything else. Blessings!

is it normal that I can't figure out the strumming pattern?
@AbelStewartMusic4 жыл бұрын
Daniel, totally normal; unfortunately I forgot to teach the strumming on this one like I usually do on other videos. Sure enough, I did forget to teach strumming on this one, thanks for catching that. It's alternating between weak and strong beats, all downstrokes. So for a four count measure, 1 and 3 are weak, 2 and 4 strong, i.e. 1-2-3-4-|1-2-3-4-|... w-s-w-s-|w-s-w-s-|... Hope that helps, and blessings to you!

Abel Stewart This is absolutely what I’ve been searching for! Thanks for the great lesson! You do a little rhythm in between strums. Can you teach that or describe? Thanks again!
@AbelStewartMusic6 жыл бұрын
Ah, yes, I see what you're talking about. I threw in a bit of the "rock/folk strum pattern" on occasion. Here's a lesson on that, in case it helps. Blessings to you! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fabIe4CYqa5ni6s
