I love Conwy, played it last summer. Shame you didn't make it to the 18th, that bloody ridge in the middle of the fairway. I took a 5 iron off the tee, smacked it down the middle and then found it right behind that ridge.

Golf is and always will be about the mid/short game. Irons and putting is basically all you need. If you can hit em straight you will be in birdie position all day. Sure you might not hit a 400yrd bomb with a driving iron but around 300 isnt anything to laugh at. Even the 500yrd par 4s will be no problem to get to the green in 2. Idk what the obsession with driver is but it's absolutely irrational for most golfers. It's literally like 80% of most people's practice. Just so they shank the ball 300 yards right

I played the US long drive champ at my course in the Chicago area. $10 a hole. Won $80. lol. That's all he could do. Hit it long on the drive. I did have 3 birdies so .... He didn't have the money and never saw him again. Also had like 20 clubs in his bag which I gave him a pass on. And Pete, you couldn't afford to rent him a motorized cart? WTF?
