How did you find a windless spot on the Lake? It's between blowing a gale for days & while the wind has abated it is still blowing hard. Average speed today 50 kmh. Wednesday 42 kmh winds are predicted. I will hope to have a session on Thursday with winds of around 16 kmh. I may have fixed my fishfinder but will know for sure on the water & not in our garage. Hopeful. Any quality fish I catch will be invited home for dinner. Thanks for sharing.

In this video I was using an older net which has since been replaced. I believe my new net which is pretty much the same is a Barkley landing net which you can buy from bcf or most tackle stores. I do recommend, hooks don't get stuck in it and it folds down aswell. Good luck

Any tips on areas in lake mac mate? Either my boat is cursed or I'm a piss poor fisherman 😅
@ChrispyyWings Жыл бұрын
Trade the boat in for a kayak if you think it's cursed. Hahaha When I'm fishing the lake it's not often I fish deep, I'm usually focusing on the edges and fish no deeper then 4m. I used to struggle in the lake, but I just kept trying until I found what worked for me
@alecmacalpine2513 Жыл бұрын
@@ChrispyyWings thanks man, I have a few areas just no luck in the 2 years of fishing it. I've tried baits and lures, very lucky to come home with enough for a feed. Not to brag, but I swear I can find every fish under 20 centimetres haha.

Nice video mate. Any ideas why my vibelicous won't swim back straight with a straight retrieve. It doesn't look bent. Could it be the split ring and can you tie them straight to the loop on the body. I could just try and go straight to the lure with a loop not? Any thoughts would be appreciated guys. Thanks
@ChrispyyWings Жыл бұрын
Are you keeping constant line tension when retrieving? That's all I can think of. I have experience the vibe not swimming well after catching a couple fish on them. But it was understandable because it was a big jewie
@Mullerman3 жыл бұрын
Can you do one of these but with the bait junkies? I am having trouble hooking up and thinking maybe my technique needs work?
@ChrispyyWings3 жыл бұрын
No worries I'll add it to the list. But for now, Winter fishing can be difficult, I would suggest slowing your retrieval let it stay on the bottom for longer , try match the hatch with the lures ( using lures which look like the bait around you) Use lighter leader and don't be afraid to move around trying to find fish on the sounder. Hope this helps 😁 thanks for watching

Wanna try a spot with about 4-5 metres of water in Sydney harbour, suppose sandy bottom, target species trevally, flathead, salmon, tailor and hopefully some Bonnie’s and kings, will the thumper tail work better or the fork tail?

Having a lighter setup and line will help feel those tiny tap the fish make when they hit your lure. You will be amazed at the difference mate 😁

How do you find the (zero) rod? Daiwa rates the rod with a lower lure weight than all other 3-6kg rods - does it feel like it? I'm looking for a snapper rod 3-6kg, but if the zero 4-10kg can throw 5g as rated I'd rather prefer that. Please share your experience.
@ChrispyyWings3 жыл бұрын
i really like the 3-6kg zero, I only throw vibes with it but was throwing a 95mm double clutch on it a while back and it did well. Action feels good, plenty of power in it, I have also caught a Jewie on it. Highly recommend the rod.
